Description Punk in an old-skool style
Lyrics When America sneezes we all catch cold
We all stick together thats what we're told
When it comes to the fight and we have no say
We all bow down to the American way

Chorus
We're always here
We're never there
We're always here
Why are we trying to be there?
Stand up today
And you shall have your say
Stand up today
It doesn't always have to be this way
Stand up today
Turn Around- Right to the left of centre

Look at the state of this British land
Starbucks have got you in the palm of their hand
We're loosing faith in our identity
That's not the way we want it to be!

Chorus

wicked!
yeah baby! this one pips mothers pride - it's energy level is up there. mothers pride seemed a little lethargic (be picky) for a punk song. This rocked tho :-) 9

Takes me back
This is superb. Sound like it was made in 1976. Really well
produced, too. Just as a matter of interest - how old are
you? You sound like you were there at the time.

Takes me back
Na I'm 18- although sometimes I wish I was born during such a great stage of
music!!

crackling energy
All the elements on this track are well-conceived and
balanced. No distortion, but cranked up to the max as a
song in this genre SHOULD be.

I like your vocal style, nice combination of carrying a tune
and yelling....somehow it works well.

All-too-true lyrics!

Good one.

Awesome, Again
Extraordinarily well done. If you've performed live, has
anyone accidently shown up at one of your shows thinking
they were going to hear Defunkt? That would be hilarious.

i like this a lot
this is great music
i just knew that was a real marshall. F'n fabulous.
Speedster? whats that? looking into it

benjhannah said 1446 days ago
i like this a lot
Speedster makes normal guitar sound like a bass guitar (+ It's a realtime
effect), it's good for those people who don't have a bass yet still want to add
natural sounding bass to their music

Cougas

Punk rules...
Great!!

Felino said 1445 days ago
Very good!
Simple lyrics, straight to the point, not offensive and very true. Nice punk rock! It takes me back to London 1982.

The Real Thing
This is honest to goodness punk. Rock-n-roll, brother!
Solid all around.

dchapman said 1443 days ago
ahhhh
A good old live sounding tune. Good production. Can't
beat an amp for guitar tone! Given the genre, this might
be overproduced!!!

So where can i find speedster... i'm tired of programming
bass!

benjhannah said 1443 days ago
ahhhh
You can find speedster at:-

http://airy.andre.online.fr/AU/

It beats programming bass by a mile and sounds natural too.
Hope this was useful!!

Iseae said 1443 days ago
Awsome
I really liked the anthem->song progression, really neat.
The guitars were quite good. My only complaint is it's not
very well produced, but it's not supposed to be perfectly
clear and crisp , so I'm not sure how to feel about it, being
the production nazi that I am. I hope you don't mind, but
I'm gonna have to pass it along to all my friends.

Top punk workout!
Fantastic punk rock.
I wouldn't mind another verse or two for the lyrics to conclude. The first verse is a great lyric.

Stick a safety pin in my ear!
These vocals are great. It really has that punk energy and
rawness. My guess is that the guitars are a bit too polished. I
got the impression that most punk bands could barely play
(did you ever see the documentary The Decline of Western
Civilisation? Not the part 2, which is about heavy metal, but
the original, about punk. Very enlightening.) and you clearly
know your way around a guitar.

But hey, never mind that, this is a jolly good, eh, I mean, rad?
wicked? tune.

this song....
...simply kicks the shit out of busted mcfly doodleshit boys
or any other known ( or less known) "punk" band out there.
Vocals were actually a bit like Dropkivk Murphys...in others
words a splendid outspoken straight up FUCK YOU!! to the
american government and silly policies!

benjhannah said 1293 days ago
this song....
Don't even say the words Busted or Mcfly on this page again (please please)-
And what's more don't call them punk bands coz punk bands should start from
the bottom and work their way up- they aren't put together by money grabbing
companies. Anyway now I got that off my chest :P thanks for listening and liking
it!! (soz for goin off on one!!)
