Oooh, Yeah...
You are a person with a musical soul! You have a mastery
of dynamics with crecendo and decrecendo in the reight
places! I have a special love for guitar solos and you have
nailed it!. I love the harmonics at the end. Is this your own
creation or a classical piece? It
seems to have flavors of the Spanish guitarist/composer
Rodrigo. Consider a genre change to classical as this is far
more cultured! I am a FAN! please give me MORE!

Thanks so much! I think you are right about classical. I guess because It was
played on a steel string acoustical I lost my senses :) I do that sometime.

Sick (hope not) good luck with your creativity!
To:blamm

I hope not, I sometimes feel like giving up playing guitar because I feel like I
can't make money at it. But then again if I had to travel and be away from my
family, maybe playing and composing is all I need. I have to try and say to
myself learning and growing musically is so very important!

I have thought many times to myself about that because I relate too much
with my music to making money. I really need to try to get that money thing
out of my head because it really doesn't pay the bills!!!!

Maybe I should go to a musical therapist!

So I hope you can get the feeling when you hear my music that it is meant to
inspire at least I hope it does.

Standing O!
Sometimes...on MacJams...a song is posted that humbles me to my core. Not very often. But sometimes. This is one of those times. Timeless free music. Just sitting here during the third listen contemplating the years of practice, discipline, patience, and love of music required to produce such an artistic expression. I can't thank you enough for posting this incredible piece. Jaw-dropping acoustical ride.

One can only assume...
this is the result of not only an abundance of musical
talent, but years of dedicated study and practice on the
the guitar. All of that, and the spark of creativity... a most
satisfying piece of music to listen to.
Beautiful sound production in this intimate and enrgetic
guitar piece.

You show an array of dazzling guitar techniques on this
tune which reach out and TOUCH the listener.

The piece has a sense of free-form improvisation, yet has
a coherent, consistent structure which carries it through
excellently from start to finish.

You obviously have serious guitar-playing chops and have
an equally obvious love for the instrument. Thank you for
sharing this wonderful piece with us here.

You have captured many moods in this piece. Your speed
is astonishing! You pulled the Pete Townsand licks off as if
they were your own.

I think I heard one or two mis-played notes in this whole
piece. Amazing performance!

I am jealous as hell of your guitar playing.

What steel string acoustic are you playing? How were you
mic'd in the studio? How long have you been playing?

thetiler said 1489 days ago

To:Mr. EI Oval

I can't remember what mic it was. But I played an acoustic Takamine guitar.
I have been playing for decades, but there is a lot of hobbies, remodeling and
just plain enjoying life in-between playing.

The vitality of live performance
Not only the playing is great, the sense of presence is
thrilling. And the occasional sense of stereo that comes
across is a great touch, hearing your inhales and exhales
in the background, guitar body sounds, give the track a
vital excitement. Like you are breathing the music. You
would fit in with the likes of Casey Harshbarger and Tony
Kush on CDBaby.

Sorry for being so short on the last one.

When I recorded it, I didn't want to make too many mistakes because I had an

Wonderful, intimate, soaring, immediate, resonant and

rschletty

Ya, I have some pretty amazing stories I've done trying to get my music out
there. I even threw a tape to Johnny Cash on stage and he actually picked it
up ! But he never got back to me. I had Chet Atkins sign my wrist backstage
when he preformed in San Franscisc when he was alive.

But nothing really has connected on a high level in music-dome.

It it a little harder to play classical music on an accoustic (at little more

Got in a little late hearing this. Have some technical
questions--over what period of time did it take for you to
put this together? A night? A year? How long in the studio,
how many takes? One? 37?

What a thrilling piece.

I don't think I took too many takes in the recording studio. Not sure I took

Talk about coming late to the party! I just found this. Lots of nice things
here, fun to listen to, and it has some interesting character changes. I
here an almost new-agey feeling expansiveness in the opening section, I
here some flamenco influences later, and, as you already acknowledged,
there's a tip of the hat to Pete Townsend in there too.

Nice playing, once again, and a fine tune. I'm going to check out the later
version now.
