23rd anniversary
What an awesome gift for an anniversary. I can't wait to hear the 25th anni song. I really enjoyed the guitar in this one in particular. I thought it sounded great. Good Job. I'm sure the wife loved it.

Peace,
Matt

Hey!
Thanks for dropping by. I felt a little guilty I didn't finish a song for her this year. She's deserving of all my musical affection... actually I should hire a professional. Always a pleasure to hear from you.

Marvelous

I really love this- the vocals are brilliant: delivery, performance and arrangement of backing etc.

The touches of piano and outro guitar is also very clever- good use of playing to strengths and creating variation.

Heartfelt lyrics too.

My "Only" tiny nits ;o): the piano sound is a little 'weak' in comparison to rest. I'd like it treated like U do with guitar: multi tracks?, warmer, bit more power and punch .. oh and the "oh" starts of the "OnlyU" backing sound a little peaky, could come down with a shade more compression just on those tracks to even out the balance.

Great hearing you going for it on the higher vocals .. and making me wonder why you don't do that more often .. really excellent John. I hope the Mrs. liked it too.

Thanks for the pointers. Last minute discission last night. It was sitting on my desktop so I decided to upload. I think the next one I'll send your way for evaluation.

This is great! What a wonderful gift - hope she liked it! Great clear and sweet vocals. I love the piano line you bring in - adds a nice, softer texture to the piece contrasted with the great e-guitar. I LOVE the background vocals on this. What a catchy tune! Very nice.

TEXASFEEL said 48 days ago
thanks Kassia
I was hoping the piano would add some change to a pretty repetitious progression. It's a pleasure to hear your comments.

Great Songwriting
This is great songwriting.
I could hear this being played on heavy rotation on the pop/rock/country format radio.
The guitars lack tone, but they could be re-recorded with some nice vintage tube amps and condenser mics.
cheers.

TEXASFEEL said 47 days ago
Thanks
I ought to mic out my amp, I usually don't have time so I plug directly in. Maybe there's something in Guitar Rig that will emulate better. Thanks for the pointers. It's a please to read your comments.

Nice song John
Great production, great playing, and ya know it has to make some major points with the wife. All of the above are very good things my friend, especially the last.

Thanks for sharing this one man, it's a great song.

Be well and be cool,

Ed

TEXASFEEL said 47 days ago
Thanks Ed
I'm always looking for more points. Maybe next year I can score big on our 25th. Always a pleasure to read your encouragement.

Very nice
This is a really nice tribute, and the lyrics are very nicely done - heartfelt and expressive. Lovely playing as well - love that guitar sound. Vocals are great, too. Drums have a nice sound, and I like the use of fills - they add a nice dynamic touch. Very cool. Hope to hear a new one next year! Kudos. Peace.

Very Nice ....
... and nice to hear that you are still writing songs for your wife ... she must love that!

TEXASFEEL said 44 days ago
Yeah
I might get a little tear here and there. She is a wonderful companion and has put up with my music for a long time. I'm no Barry Manilow though. Thank you for dropping by and taking a listen. It's a pleasure to read your comments.

I love this stuff you're doing and your vocals continue to develop. Very cool song - would have liked to hear a little more of the bass.

Jeez your vocals are good - quirky, but right on the melody and really well recorded. Guits as good as ever.

Cheers,
Neil

TEXASFEEL said 44 days ago
Thank you Neil
I should send you a demo first... I'm always flustered on the bass levels. I'll also have to admit that I do a bunch of cheating on the vocals. Thanks for your comments as always. Loved your latest.
