Hothouse Flowers Look Out Piano is awesome!!! Your voice is spectacular. Sorry to do the comparison but you sound like a mix between Hothouse Flowers and Collective Soul. Not a bad thing dude. I really look forward to hearing more from you. Welcome to Macjams!!! |

You got to clue us in on your recording details( software equipment, mics etc.) and a listing of lyrics. Welcome to MacJams! |

kicking and flying.. Excellently crafted piece of heaven... loved the boogie woogie piano/organ bits in there (a "Jif"ted piano player). Super guitar work, and really rich and strong vox and nicely-fitting lyric writing. Drums kick arse, bass work really pushes this along. Production is quite polished on this. I can't really hear anything to be critical of. Loved all the little details in this, very pro-sounding. Talk about bursting into Macjams with a blockbuster, welcome to the party! Oh, and love the artwork too! Anything you CAN'T do? :-) ttfn, Drakonis |

This is a blast .. .. kinda Pearl Jam-ish vocals, really top notch & excellent .. with more than a shade or two of 'Hothouse flowers' groove from Jif .. the keys at the start reminded me of something else I can't quite place..more 80s dance .. the lead guitars have some 80s glam rock influence .. like CC Deville (Poison) at times .. then more bluesy .. but all this is academic .. the sum of the parts is awesome .. great rocker... this would be a blast live- where can get tickets? |

Very nice! Great sounding vocal for a start! "Revival" is the word I was after - thanks Vic - the piano gives it that southern church sound (like, near Portsmouth). I have a bit of a reputation at MJ for saying what I think about production, and while the individual tracks sound great, I think you could tweak the mix a fair bit to get a better sound. First thing I'd suggest is that the vocals come forward a few steps on the sound stage - they are so strong, yet seem to be a little hidden in the mix. I'd also suggest a bit more of a spread of the other instruments - panning the piano and guitar right and left a little more - the piano seems to be the main area of need, but I'd be shifting the lead out too. You've done good stuff with some vocal panning and some guitar hits, but apart from the drums (and the organ), nearly everything seems to be coming from the centre. I could be wrong, and I am noticing that more and more I'm panning a little too wide myself. Might be worth a shot. What software/OS are you using to record? Top tune! Welcome to MJ! Neil |

Be Kind? Ha...this is great...puts me right back into the 8th row center of Springsteen's first tour as a lead in to, I'm pretty sure, The Grateful Dead. I love this sound. Very well done and tight, tight, tight! |

nice to hear (meet) you man this is great. love how you don't pursue any one genre - a little honky tonk, little rave/gospel, little anthem/stadium. very cool! you remind me of those "spiritual" bands in the 80's like the Alarm and Simple Minds. vocals remind me a bit of Live, as do the lyrics. Like the soloing too. Nice work, can't wait to hear what else you've got in store... |

Gateshead I visited Newcastle this summer, but unfortunately didn't get time to visit The Angel of the North. As I'm from Stavanger, Norway I'm familiar with the artist Antony Gormley as he has been around putting his art here:) (http://mappery.com/maps/Antony-Gormley-Broken-Column-Stavanger.png) Your music is refreshing and real. Dig the energy and the musical skills pouring from this band. Is this done these days or something recorded some years ago? You mention Rod being in France... who are you guys..? Faces doing something when Rod is away? This is pretty awesome%u2026:) More please - you have a new fan! |

Thank you! Well spotted that man - first to mention "The Angel" Can't play live at the moment as Rod is working dans la France for a bit. This was recorded just before he left and we're polishing up some others whilst he's away, Don't know too much about the technical side of it all or when we'll get more up, but we'll stick around as it's a cool place to hang out with like minded people. Ha ha! - Rod & the Faces....nice one! |

well done! This is great. Vocals have touches of Andy Bell from Erasure - an absolute favorite of mine. All in all a great tune. Welcome! |

looks like an amazing introduction to mc jams to me. And it sounds like you deserve the response you got too. It's an 80's tune and why not, agree with your observation. Did you play every thing here? Your voice is very strong and with a strong back up to power it up. Great job. BTW love that re-al photo on your home page |

If this is your first offering to macjams then we'd better keep an eye on you ;-)
A polished, well laid out track with some great playing.
Great vocals.
Deacon Blue meets Let me entertain you.
Look forward to your next piece
