Description Hey all.
This is one of my very first songs I wrote back in 1995 in what I called the "Dungeon". A basement where I used to reside at, I included the picture.

I recorded it back in 2000 for a CD with my former partner and it never made it to the final product. I enjoyed it, so I decided to re-record it and share it here. It's still a work in progress. I have specific lyrics that will be on it later, but for now it's just the music.

I'm not to happy with the solo (surprising huh? lol). I may be re-recording it without the wah and re-posting it. I dunno yet. Also, it's kinda late around here, so I ended up mixing in the headphones.

I hope you enjoy it.

BTW: This is my 5th repost in 24 hours. I can't seem to get the solo tone right.
So please bare with me if you commented and then"poof", the tune is gone.
I'm sorry, but I just want to get it right. Special thanks to Harold for the heads up
on the solo tone and Kenta for the first comment yesterday. I appreciate it
guys. LOL I feel sorry for the artist's that have e-mail notification. They
gotta be fed up by now! Again, sorry about that.

You have to feel good w your post... And as I say you sure ROCK IN MY BOOK... I wish I had just a little of that git in me too... Your talent is outstanding my friend... Keep 'em coming... Cheers

Thanks Kenta.
I'm trying, but I'm kinda in a rut so to say. I should have something soon.

Thanks again.

LOL
Finally get to hear this one! I am one of those email notification people. Very sophisticated for an early work. Tone on the solo sounds pretty clear here, but I am not using my headphones so I could have missed the odd crack. Could you play the solo like that in 1995? Very impressive. Looking forward to hearing this with those vocals.

Thanks
Bill

PickQuickRecords said 38 days ago
Thanks Bill.
I'm sorry about that. I'm just too picky for my own good.

No, I don't think I could solo like that back then, but I was sure trying too! LOL.

Thanks again for your patience.

regulus said 54 days ago
Some very
classical chops here with the now Goth field of contemporary expression. Quite now, . Your guitar screams and lays down the lay, but where are the words. Titillating to the audio cortex and moving to the the core of a rock hard being. Man, you are on it.

This is a collectors pieces for me. Will definitely tune in for what's next?

PickQuickRecords said 38 days ago
Thanks Richard.
I have the lyrics, but I'm not anywhere that talented to pull it off like I want them. So maybe in the future I can find someone to do it. Thanks again for the very kind words. I appreciate them a lot.

'Not too happy
with the solo' - really! I would be truly ecstatic.
This just sounds totally fantastic to me - wonderful. Doesn't even need vocals. Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

PickQuickRecords said 38 days ago
Wow!
Thanks Len. I'm happy you downloaded it. I guess I'm just to much of a perfectionist when it comes to soloing. I'm trying to let go a little, but find it a bit hard at times.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Thanks AGAIN for your support. I appreciate it.

guitapick said 53 days ago
I dunno, Chris...
...I think you're slowin' down a bit, there...

You nut! I can relate, though...want it just right.

Sounds great. Looking forward to the lyrics

PickQuickRecords said 38 days ago
Thanks Bob.
I actually wanted the solo faster if you can believe it.

Hopefully soon on the lyrics.

Thanks again.

Vic Holman said 53 days ago
cool
man, you have some of the tightest guitar rhythm going.

the wah is cool but i'm not sure if you need it. maybe some harmony lead as an option. just a thought.

PickQuickRecords said 38 days ago
Thanks Vic.
I was actually considering the harmony thing. Hmmm, maybe I'll give it a shot on a different version or something.

Thanks again for the comment.

Nice,
very nice.

I think the problem is not with the wah, per se. Rather, when the solo arrives, it is very much 'coming out of nowhere'....try putting the lyrics in place and playing round them as the song develops (even if you're not going to print the vocal). Just a lick here and there will both get over this and build anticipation as well.
Incredibly tight rhythm.

PickQuickRecords said 38 days ago
Thanks Paul.
That is a great idea. I'll play around with that on the next version for sure. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate the feedback and idea.

Thanks again.

I would be proud of this tune. I can tell you really love what you do.

PickQuickRecords said 25 days ago
Thanks awigze.
I'm glad you liked it.

Playing for me is essential for a healthy state of being.

It's my stress relief.

Thanks again for stopping in and taking a listen.

I appreciate it.
