	Where's all the Funk Well done Ed. I'm not usually fond of wailing guitars but you held this together for me with the bass & drums to say nothing of the organ and brass. Definitely funkafied.

Thanks Smokey Hey Smokey, The reason everything sits nicely in it's own space is because I'm a space cadet, don't ya know. All kidding aside, I do thank you for stopping in for a listen and for the great comments. I figure at some time I'm gonna write and add some lyrics to this one, but I do know what you mean about the rhythmic choral background and the grunts. It would lift it to a new level for sure. 	Thanks Jack I think the horn sound has more to do with the key the songs is in than anything else. I did use some Reverb and Compression on them, but that's about it. 	Thanks Drak I had George Clinton and the Mothership in mind when I put this together, but missed the mark by some. Still, it is kinda Funky, just needs some People Power in it to make it really cool. Got to get to the lyrics such as they'd be, and I'm getting ideas for that now. Thanks Dave I was kind of thinking maybe SmokeyBacon was headed in the right direction too. Nothing too complicated, more like something the Mothership or maybe War would have done. Just enough to add to the Funk and not get carried away with itself. For now I'll leave it alone and let the mind just wonder about it. If it needs it, they will come, know what I mean? Hi Mike Some of the really sick stuff you're listening to are Apple loops my friend and some of them are me. Which is which I'll let you guess at. As for getting sounds I sometimes mic my amp and sometimes go straight into the board through my FW1804 interface. What I'll do is record the guitar track, save it as a loop and then layer it as an additional track using one (and sometimes more than one track) sounds in the guitar loops section. The way it works it this. Pick out a guitar loops that you really like the sound of and bring it into a new track in either GB or Logic. Then erase the loop and bring in your guiitar part that you converted to a loop and place it on that track you just deleted the loop from. Now your guitar part is playing what you played, with the killer sounds from the loop you deleted. Clear as mud, huh? Anyway it works pretty well, and you still have the option of adjusting the amp model used by the original loop you built the track with. You can also modify the reverb, delay, flanger, Phase all kinds of thing that are available to the loop, that aren't available to the original audio track you recorded. Happy Thanksgiving Vic A long time ago in a Galaxy far away, I used to love doing funk and blues stuff. I haven't really done anything like this in close to 40 years, but I still love the feel of a good Funk tune. I'm not sure what you're talking about on the horns at 30 sec, they sound ok to me. Might be a little phase shifting going on, but then again, with my ears I'm liable to miss something like that. Not matter, I'm glad you like the song Vic and I appreciate the comments. I'll go back and see if I can pick out what your talking about in the horns. You aren't the first to say something about the horn sound. By the way, farfor44 and Mick Reeves over on icomp wrote some lyrics to this and posted it as "Gimme back my Mojo" Sounds really killer in case you'd like to check it out. 	Vocals That's a great version too. Those guys do a good job on the vocals. On relistening the problem with that horn riff is no longer obvious to me.
