Description Well, now I am officially a Logic Pro user!

And this is my first little test. Just a short interlude with a nice flute and a few more tracks (including some base for the Dragon, if he feels like listening ;-)

Please let me know if you want to add something to this, in a way it doesn't sound finished, but I don't know how to go on right now, so...

Artwork is a photo from my office window a few weeks ago when the setting sun was shining through the rain. All natural colors!

Thanks for listening!

wow ...
this is going to sound strange but is meant as a compliment.... this so reminds me of some early brian wilson work nearly around the Pet Sounds era or perhaps Holland. This needs expanding indeed! Great sound bed for something wonderful. :-]

Thank you Jack!
Very nice of you to come and listen and comment on your time out(?)!

Brian Wilson, huh. Sounds like Beach Boys to me, but I'm probably out jogging on that one ;-) Oh, I just checked, and I was right?!?!

Thanks for encouraging me to go on with this one. I'm just not sure which direction to take. Working on a more techno-like thing right now...

Stay well!

Cool
That you have LOGIC and even cooler that you've done this.
Very nice sound bed.... This can as Jack says be even more wonderfully.

Thanks Kenta!
It IS pretty cool, and not as hard as I thought it would be. A few things to learn how to find and meddle with and I am on the same level as on GB. Only 1000's or million's more things to choose from. Feels like it will be some time before I start making my own software instrument sounds e.g. ;-) Then again I don't understand 90 % of all the rest, but who cares. As long as there comes music out of it ;-)

Thanks for listening and commenting! Stay well!

work very remarkable ..loved this easy feeling my friend
well done ..thnx alot for sharin !!!

Thank you, Feter!
Much appreciated! I wanted this to be simple, to let each instrument be heard, but there seems to be room for development... (The bass is two standard loops I found in "The Studio" :-)

Stay well!

Thanks a lot Len!
I like them too, but not sure which way to go from here. Any ideas?

Really liked your latest too, with Becca. What a voice!

Stay well!

sigh...
moving up in the world now! Very nice work, and yes, Logic does seem to help you make this sound very crystal clear. Yup, I like the bass line in there, and overall, this is sort of a dreamy lazy happy sounding little snippet. I could imagine this being worked into a very nice piece of music. The flute melody is pretty, but the flute "sound" is a little artificial sounding... there's no real vibrato in it, and there's some phaser or something instead that makes it sound synth-ish. But all the other stuff sounds really nice, composition and mix are sounding good.

Well I guess...
But for some things I miss GB, I mean I was just starting to find out how to use it! Now I am quite a novice again, even if it helps to have used GB before.

About the flute sound I am not quite with you, I thought it sounded very real. I have played the flute once upon a time, you know... It's not like vibrato is built into the instrument, it's a way you can play it, but it surly is not compulsory?! The phaser effect you hear, could it have to do with it being a surround sound? Not sure...

Again, I am happy that you can hear a future for the piece. I only wish I could too :-/

Thanks again for listening and commenting! Always appreciated!

Stay well!

very nice
Logic I need to learn it .. THis sounds well mixed a little short but since it is a test Im shure you will work on it. It was a very enjoyable listen thanks!

Thank you!
I am glad you liked it!

About logic, although there are SO much you can do, the "usual" things (for me) is not that hard to get going with. It took awhile to find the "a" for automation, but once I found it, it is kind of nice, also the lists, where you can trim each note to perfection. But I still wonder why the default on this song was to "bounce" the duration minus ca 5 bars in the beginning and end of it. Rather strange I think...

Thanks for listening and commenting!

Sounds
The instruments do sound richer. Nice choices for a first piece. Is the bass a loop or did you do that in Logic?

Thanks
Bill

Henke said 52 days ago
Thanks Bill
for listening and commenting, glad you like it. The bass is just two loops from the abundancy of the Studio :-)

Stay well!
