Description This is pretty much identical to the other one, but Dave (lavalamp) gave me a great suggestion to add a little more to the end. The song didn't have a real defined ending - which I think is important, so I thought I'd try something quiet to bring it home.
Lyrics I had a happy feeling
That you'd turn up here like this
Your chemical imbalance
Is no shot in the dark miss
So line up all your poison
And tie off your last lifeline
The show is just beginning
And you've made it right in time

It's gonna lift you up
Then it'll drop you down
It's gonna make you swim
Then it'll watch you drown

Now that you are flying
And everything looks so small
You'd better keep it going
Or you're surely bound to fall
They make it so easy
To destroy our moral soul
But you won't fight it cuz you like it
You cannot say no

It's gonna lift you up
Then it'll drop you down
It's gonna make you swim
Then it'll watch you drown

You will fall down

Even better!
Those lyrics and that chorus have been living in my head since the first listen. The extended ending sums it all up perfectly. Just gets better!

up another notch
i saw this song was added, but before i listened i listened to the original from yesterday...and the new ending brings this whole piece up another notch.

all of the detail work that's in this is wonderful. your attention to emotion and dynamic changes make your songs worth listening to over and over. keep it up!

good work
this is a great song. it's just such a maelstrom of sound, and the new ending is perfect. much better, you are absolutely right about endings. ought to be proud of this one.

rsorensen said 57 days ago

thanks michael. maelstrom of sound is a cool way to describe it

Cool
Listening on my Sennheiser head phones tonight. Great addition. Glad you liked my suggestion, but I think you knew it needed such an ending.

Can't tell you how much I dig this when it explodes. You have something no one can teach or learn.......HEART.

You truly love music.

Dave

very nice!
the new ending gives it something more. There's nothing quite as scary as a quiet, maniacal prophecy.

rsorensen said 57 days ago

haha yeah. a little cliched but it felt right. thanks
