Description This is a longer version of an untitled instrumental song I composed a few months back. Vic Holman did a wonderful job on this with 'Desert Ghost' but this time it's a different song with lyrics & vocals by Dick Langford.
I met up with Dick, Len Gold and Steve Lang in London a few weeks back for a few beers! It was a very enjoyable evening and Dick mentioned to me that he had started to write lyrics for this when I first posted it so I asked him if he would like to complete them. Dick kindly agreed to me sending him the song and although he could not promise anything he would give it a go.
I was quite keen to hear what Dick would come up with and it was not long before he sent me back this excellent song called Therapy.

It's very catchy and I thought you would like to hear it.
Dick has composed some great lyrics for this and he also sings a great vocal!

Bob

...and good therapy at that!
Reminds me just a little of The Men They Couldn't Hang's "Silvertown" album in spirit.

Great job on those lyrics and vocals Dick. (You sound a bit like T.M.T.C.H.'s "Swill.")

The original post (with Vic) was magic. This is like a completely different but equally cool tune. The guitar work---especially the soloing---throughout is wonderful!

Nice job guys!

Be well friends!

Thanks Micheal!
Dick has done a great job with the lyrics and vocals on this and I remember The Men They Couldn't Hang!
Funny enough I was reading about them the other day and apparently their original drummer Jon Odgers became a drum tech for a band called Therapy!!

Thanks for the listen and glad you enjoyed it!

Sounds like two master at work to me
Great track Bob, and with what Dick added to it, it's turned into a killer song. Love the drive and energy in this,,and with Dicks lyrics and vocal giving meaning to the song, it's turned out fantastic.

I'll be damned if I can find any flaws in it or suggestions to make that would improve on what you guys have done, with the possible exception of putting a proper ending on it. Never did like fade outs on a song like this, but that's just me.

Great work by both of you, Kudos for a wonderful job.

I love it.

Be well and be cool,

Ed

Sometime you just have to "fav"
As I said to Bob in the pub a few weeks ago. I started writing lyrics for this but once I heard Vic's version I gave up (why is it that whenever I hear anything by Vic I want to give up?)

Anyway, I said I'd try and finish it and amazingly enough I did. Hopefully this is far enough away from Vic's version for this to be considered a new song.

I loved the guitar work and the progressions on this and the solo is a killer.

So thanks to Bob for letting me loose and thanks for the kind words from you guys and if I understand what Bob has said there will be at least 1 more to come.

Cheers

Dick

Bob Rodgers said 66 days ago

Thanks once again!

All the best,

Bob

Cool collaboration
Good guitaring..I can imagine Jimmy Page strutting around playing this, with a fag in his mouth. Nice vox by Dick...is that a bit of Cher-like vocal effecting I hear going on here too? Nice alliteration on the lyrics in there too hehe
Steve

DWL said 67 days ago
Cher?
He he :-)

Yeah just a touch, to flesh out the harmony.

Now all I need is the plastic surgery....

Thanks

Dick

I love this track
I loved this sound bed from the word go. Best drum/guitar sound in the world.
On my third listen now and I really, really like Dick's vocals - they take the track into a totally different and unusual direction. Would have liked to have been able to read the lyrics although I picked up quite a lot of them.
Superb. Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

DWL said 67 days ago
Thanks Len

It was great fun doing this (especially as Bob did all the work!)
