Description I just got inspiret to record today 'cuz I got some new gear. I got a new firewire interface with phantom power, so my guitar and bass parts don't sound so bad anymore. I also got a new Ernie Ball Volume Pedal. So I had to test them out.

I'm happy with them. This resulted out of me goofing off and playing bass to a drum loop I dragged and dropped into Garageband. The loop is "electronic drum beat 02".

I noticed the bass line sounded like a familiar video game, so it grew into this. I almost left it without the guitar part, but since I got my new volume pedal it seemed like a perfect time to try it out.

There's a lot of digital distortion in the background, but I think that's because I used alot of the bitcrusher style effects. I guess I'll find out next time I record. As always, I'm interested in critiques on production as I still have no clue what I'm doing.

I didn't like the final panning after a while and deleted the song profile after about 10 hits, Sorry to anyone who listened or commented on the first one.

Enjoy.

This is the raddest tune EVER!
That's right, I said it: rad! Great sound dynamics. I love the sound that you got out of that guitar. Working in the Mario Bros sound effects and thematic angle is amazing!! I always kind of wanted to do a disc of dubby/trippy nods to old school video games. That could be a blast. This isn't so much the 1up, but more like the turtle on the stairs bonus guy move in level 3-1. You know the one I mean! :) Really awesome work.

Oh yes this is good Funkin stuff Brian. Like the pedal work and the sound you got out of the Guitar. Love the bass line too.

Great track and a mighty good use of the footwear.

Be well and be cool,

Ed

Yep..
that volume pedal sure is fun, of course I overdid it, but that's how you get better with your tools of choice...

very nice
you have put some real effective guitar and bass to this and made it sound very sweet. Like the space you have given it to breath. Effective and chilled

thanks for noticing
I've been working on that kind of stuff with the people I jam with regularly. Trying to stop endless noodling and letting songs 'breathe' as you say.

nothing
like experimenting with new gear, very cool git on this kind of offsets the heavy drum. Takes it into space, The video game angle is a creative touch. I enjoyed this allot!
