Description This is a tune I wrote in 2004 and finally finished in 2007 with the help of Allen Dean. He really made the song what it is with his tremendous vocal skills. Thanks Allen.

So I hope you enjoy my re-post and I'm hoping to have my new one up soon. I'm going back to my 80's roots with my new one and its been a blast playing it.
Anyway, It should be up soon.

but you REALLY brought this one to life. I enjoyed mixing your vocals a lot. It was easy because of the superb quality of your dynamics and performance. No BS!

I hope we can do it again.

NICE
I love he acousic intro, teasing me till u kick in the metal
I dig the pumpin double bass drum, and the sosssssspoken word...
very well done
great great tune
waiting for u'r new tune

PickQuickRecords said 92 days ago
Thanks Tim.
I always get everyone with that. hehe

When I first wrote it it had a single bass drum part. I actually added that later on after the vocals. It helped the rhythm guitars and bass get some punch. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I should have my new one up shortly.

Talk with you soon.

Thanks again.

It was a blast working with Alan on this one. He is one of the best singers that I have ever met here. Completely pro in all aspects of his craft.

Thanks again for the listen and comment.

PROduction
Excellent sound. Not a Rock god on this one. Just a Rock king. Great vocals, too.

Dave

Thanks Dave.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I appreciate the kind words.

wow
brilliant stuff. The pair of you have made a truly great song, powerful and melodic, what a ride. I will be listening a few more times to this one for sure. I wish i could get my strat to sound like that. Earthshaking...top job guys. Allen, voice really puts the icing on the cake.

PickQuickRecords said 69 days ago
Thanks Steve
I have to agree with you about Allen's vox for sure.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment.

I appreciate it.

Karmatoburn said 92 days ago
kick ass
solid metal. Crunchy pounding guitars. Allen's vocals scream and the solo was off the charts good.

Relic67 said 90 days ago
i'll second that
what he said...

PickQuickRecords said 52 days ago
You..
too.

Scared To Death
Great teamwork.

I'm scared of both of you!! Seriously!

The solo is pure metal goodness, or should I say badness? The rappin vocals make this pretty contemporary and intensify the heaviness.

Never deny your roots.

PickQuickRecords said 52 days ago
Really?
I didn't mean to do it. I hope that you make a full recovery. lol

Seriously though, I appreciate the comments Bob.

Working with Allen is one of the highlights for me here at MacJams. He's amazing, pure and simple. Personally, he should be signed in my book.

Thanks again.

The real deal
Sounds great thru the 'phones. A great example of all things that a proper metal song can do. This could be a slow acoustic ballad; but I'm glad it's not.

Nice 'stoppage' that gap speaks volumes directly before the So Called Friend then effing immense axe work. I love it.

I'm away to put on the Black Album...

Love it!

Jim

PickQuickRecords said 52 days ago
Thanks Jim
I agree. The stoppage really does give it that extra edge and break to take it all in.

I almost was leaning toward leaving out the intro, but after a few listens, it really set up the song so I decided it must stay.

Thanks again for your kind comment. I appreciate a lot.

You and the formidable Mr. Dean are dynamite together!

Kickin! Smokin! This tune is on FIRE!

Be well gents!

Sigh...
One problem:

When I hear YOUR fantastic lead playing I lose the will to try....

I will NEVER smoke like this!

PickQuickRecords said 52 days ago
Well...
Practice, practice, and more practice. Alienate everyone you know. Don't have time for anything else or anybody and practice some more. That should do it. (lol) Well, that's how I did it at least.

PickQuickRecords said 52 days ago
Thanks You Mr. Wark
I just wish I lived closer to him so we could start a band or something.

Thanks again for the awesome comment my friend.

Don't be a stranger.

NewInfection said 83 days ago
wow.
thanks for the serious props, brother. i just do the singing.....this baby was alot of fun to do, because i tried a heavier approach to my vocals, in sync with the angry, heavy music. i think it all turned out killer. and of course, your attention to detail in mixing my vioce is superb!
also, thanks so much for my pic on the tune, that is really cool.
