Description All my music stuff is still packed away from moving, so I could only use existing GB recordings and my acoustic guitar. The ambient drone is 6 bars of the loop reversed and significantl slowed down. Everything else is either my acoustic guitar or my daughter whining. The title comes from when my wife was holding our son and daughter, but crying about something. They were being turds and she had quite a collection going. She doesn't actually collect feces (that I know of).

I probably won't scare Dr. Lioli off much, but it was fun to step outside my normal process.

spooky
really cool departure. like the guitars and that changeup.

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
oh for shit's sake
A fun project. I did the majority of it at the dentists office, of all places. Thanks for listening!

CaptSloParts said 102 days ago
Spooky about cover it
until you get to the change up. Then it gets just plain crazy.

All things considered, (like you equipment is in a box) you did a really great job that I'm sure will scare the bejesus out of the Evil Dr. He's gonna figure, "If this is what they can do without their equipment, I don't want to hear what they can do with it. I', Doomed")

Great job Len

Ed

Scaring the bejesus out of ye olde Doc sounds good enough to me. Thanks for listening!

Mama's Turd Collection
what an experiment ..gorgeous mixing ..and singing ..
good use of the guitar here ..was that the acoustic
applied with distortion really strange effect there
good one as well...great work my friend ...thnx alot
for sharin !!!!

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
Thanks Feter
Yeah, I had to use the guitar amp settings to get the extra guitar sounds. I didn't really have time or the resources for anything else. The timing is off all over the place but I just kept each idea I came up with and let it go. I figured a song that's supposed to sound crazy shouldn't sound perfect.

Very Scary (those kids can be...)
Sounds like the thoughts of a schizophrenic who's been given the wrong dose of the wrong medication. Lots of emotional torment - I dig it!

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
Thanks!
Instead of working on my kids album I should start working on an album for Schizos. An untapped market, unless you count Wesley Willis. Thanks for the listen and the comment!

WillyB said 102 days ago
...
tight, very clean sounding even with the distorted bits...and very creative..love the artwork too.

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
Thanks!
Excitebike is badass. You know you were all about making your own track. More jumps than ever made sense.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to the tune. It was completely mixed on my iPod headphones so I'm not real sure about the mix... I'll just have to take your word for it. Thanks!

Thanks, Ridd

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
wow
I'm stupid. This was meant for Ridd.

Diviner said 102 days ago
LOL, certainly made me laugh
You can tell you had fun with this project. Great guitar playing and interesting textures of sound that you have created.
Its mad, how and where you created this. Cool track. Reminds me a little of Radiohead (I hope that is a compliment).

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
thanks.
it was actually my daughter's dentist appt. She was being sedated so the appt was like 2 or 3 hours. I just messed around with the loop the whole time and came up with everything but the guitar parts. Since she was so drugged up after the appt I thought it would be funny to play this for her. She didn't seem as affected.

Rik_Berryere said 102 days ago
You did THIS at the dentist's office?
Are those things drills grinding away in the background? Dentist offices are scary to begin with, but paint this in as a soundtrack and it's a nightmare of surreal proportions.

You've scared Dr. Lioli, hell - you've scared ME. I'm going to go brush and floss now.

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
haha
I guess we're all inspired by our environments. I'm glad I could help scare Dr. Lioli away. Judging from his teeth in those videos, he could use some dental care himself. At least a whitening.

Skean said 102 days ago
Dentists office
Okay you have him Im sure Dr lioli can't take this pain sounds... Cool work like it... Cheers

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
Thanks
for your listen and comment. I wish I could have done more work on a song because everyone seems to be posting great pieces. Thanks again!

davisamerica said 102 days ago
yep ....
this works .... damn creative

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
thanks
it was a blast to work on.

HenriROGERsoloandbands said 102 days ago
Creative

Nice building and sounds .

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
that's
the great thing about MJ, so much creativity. All the challenges kind of force you to think outside of the box and approach things differently.

wurzel said 102 days ago
Being
stuck in the house all weekend with 3 screaming whinging kids, I really appreciate this. Kudos.

Lennon714 said 102 days ago
hahaha!
Sounds like a lot of fun! I actually was trying to record my kids as they were both crying. I was going to effect it and put it on the track as another indistinguishable sound, but they quieted down before I got the chance. Hopefully yours do the same for you soon :).

lavalamp said 101 days ago
This is.......
....what this is all about. Who would ever let you get away with this on their own dime? I would, yeah.

I wish more could appreciate this kind of stuff.

Maybe, you have that same cheap, but good, Yamaha I have.

Good last track.

Dave

Lennon714 said 101 days ago
Yamaha
It was cheap, but I'm not sure about good. The action is really high on it's pure murder. I've also beat it to hell throughout the years. I've got a screw in the neck where it connects to the body for a strap (which is why I don't get the action changed). But it works.

Glad you liked the tune. And you're right, this is what MJ is all about. Put anything you want together and let it fly. Who cares if anyone likes it or not?

lavalamp said 101 days ago
But,
I do like it.

Lennon714 said 100 days ago
Good point
I'm just saying that I'm glad I don't have to worry about pandering to anybody. Think about all the great music that COULD be written if record execs disappeared.

dolby said 101 days ago
Yep...
...a nice departure for you, but very classy all the same. Great mix and great atmospherics. The change in the middle is very rewarding:-))

Unexpected and very cool. Nice one. But it needs a door slam at the very end - awww c'mon you know it makes sense!

Lennon714 said 101 days ago
hahaha
A slamming door does make sense! Thanks for stopping by, Phil!

kingbee said 101 days ago

Very imaginative construction.
Great sound collage.
I didn't know dentists waiting rooms could spur such creativeness.
Very cool

Lennon714 said 101 days ago
thanks
It could stand to be a little weirder, but I didn't want to overdo it. Thanks for listening!

michael2 said 101 days ago
dude
this is amazing. might actually be my favorite entry. it's just twisted. i like the treatment that you gave the loop, but beyond that, i'm just in love with the track itself. great job, now unpack your stuff.

Lennon714 said 100 days ago
well
from the master of twisted ambient experimental stuff I will take that as a huge compliment. Thanks!

egobandit said 100 days ago
I had
a dinckelberry collection right from inbetween My big toe and what ever toe that is next to it. I have to admit some came from my belly button. Like the build makes for good intensity. Cool song

Lennon714 said 100 days ago
That's
such a deliciously bizarre comment. I hope some day you or your future family members can go on Antiques Roadshow and have your dinckleberry collected appraised.

five_extra_arms said 100 days ago
I Think You Scared Dr Loioli
The intro completely freaked me out, then the guitar came in, then the outro freaked me out!! I love being scared and freaked out!!! Wow Eric, there are some pretty frightening and beautiful sounds colliding in my headphones.

Your vocals are fantastic alongside that stringy changy accoustic guitar and that slightly distant exploding chunk of filthy feedback guitar noise.

Those fuzzy overdriven beats and the lead parts at the end are pure poetry.

Lennon714 said 100 days ago
Thanks
I'm glad this song had such an affect on you. The drums were part of a loop that I just cut the bass and snare out of. It's way fuzzier out of context than when you hear it as the loop. But I think it works as a "someone needs to shave those drums" kind of sound. Thanks for your comment! Made my day!

dajama said 99 days ago
Wow
This is excellent - completely unexpected, and very effective. The change-up when those distorted drums kick in is riveting. Nice distortion too at the end! Truly original approach and it works like a charm. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Lennon714 said 99 days ago
thanks, man
A very fun project that yielded some creative submissions. I really enjoyed what you came up with!

SmokeyVW said 99 days ago

i like the bitcrushing too

thanks

Take
Quite a different take on the challenge, some interesting sonic experimenting going on here. I also like your guitar work.

Thanks
Bill

Lennon714 said 34 days ago
Thanks, Bill
I had a lot of fun with this. Thanks for the listen and the comment.

Char said 90 days ago
That was fun.
I wasn't even listening for the loop. Not a one of these are similar in any way. Thanks for scaring the Dr. off.

Lennon714 said 34 days ago
haha
The loop is there, but it's decimated to the point that I probably should have been disqualified :). glad you liked!

bud said 34 days ago
Way to hide the loop
that's the spirit - nice and twisted. Cool tune.

Lennon714 said 34 days ago
thanks, bud
I was sweating the "has to be recognizable" rule. Glad you liked it. It was fun putting it together.
