well, here's my comment again - I LOVE THIS. And I especially love the addition of the great Futzpucker showing us how it's REALLY done on that keyboard. This is GREAT guys - congrats!

OH YEAH!
Nothing like the blues with the full ensemble... piano and hammond... bass, drums and vocals, of course.

Way to make your PRS sing.

Compliments to all involved.

Thanks for the heads up on your terrific tune.

10s, most definitely!

Deep Blue Bows! :)

Sweet, sweet, sweet
The playing (on everything!) is superb. The guitar sounds really great - soulful and piercing - and the piano is lovely - perfectly attuned to the vibe. A wonderful piece. If I walked into this joint, I'd sit down and call a friend. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Equal parts chops and guts
So you have a PRS? They're the Sh-T, man. I have great admiration for your bluesmanship. I cut my teeth on blues but never had a band to do 'em with. And since going digital I've been wrestling with how to get the gut-punch into my playing, how to get the feel right vs. rote. You've been mentoring me along with your posts for a few years now, which you may know from my comments here (and since '05, at the iLand of the fancy UI). Your playing here as ALWAYS shows equal parts chops and emotional engagement.

very very kind of you Bob
you are a fine player yourself, as your latest post proved without a doubt! I am honored that you find some inspiration in my efforts to tame the six string beast....she can sing so sweetly when properly handled....

I hope we never stop searching

Sweet!
Wow! I don't know if its just me, but you have a SRV quality to your voice for sure. For one, I sure have respect for your playing. I myself find it quite difficult to play the blues, but you pull it off with the grace and soul of a pro. Great song and awesome performance.

Thanks for sharing.

playing blues
is a great teacher. learning to improvise within a structure is such a valuable thing. Blues phrasing teaches you to tell stories, not just spew forth notes. A great blues solo is like a short story, it should have all the elements, begining, body, climax, resolve....the concepts can be applied to any form of improvisatory music.

I play a lot of styles, but blues to me, is the most challenging and rewarding.

thank you so much for the kind words, quick one!!! great to have you back!!

Isn't removing silence redundant?
Oooh, no more playboy? I don't believe that for a minute.

Real nice,
blues. Like the tone you get on the guitar. Excellent bends. Backing band sounds good as well. Great blues voice, good vibrato.
