Description Bread
A circus
Now shut up
Lyrics Proles Rule

You’ve got: a big flat screen, an R.V.
You’ve got: all mod cons, fancy porcelain johns
You’ve got: diamond rings and bedazzled things
Food for the dog, all you can eat BBQ hog

You’ve finally made it – proles rule!
Commodity fetishism – proles rule!
Except when the bank calls –proles rule!
Except when your stuff is repossed

You’ve got: a life of ease, processed cheese
You’ve got: 31 flavors, 5 blade shavers
You’ve got: unlimited call plans, potato chips in a can
What more do you need, satisfaction guaranteed

Except when the factory closes – proles rule!
Except when the wage is lowered–proles rule!
Except when the tax rates are set– proles rule!
Except when those with capital say boo

You’re the king of the household
Not the relations of production
Relations of production?
What the fuck is that?
He who owns, controls
Man that’s so old fashioned!
What was alienation
Is now a reality show

Proles rule!
Do the prole dance!
Consume and shut up
Bread
A circus
Now shut up

I love BBQ Hog
The sad thing is that the Proles don't realize they are Proles.
this song rules!

Proleissimo.
I'm a fully guaranteed prole and take exception to my heritage being disparaged in such an mediocre fashion. Shame on you and 11 eyes.

I don't know you
Bonnie: You're a prole, I'm a prole. Take pride in your heritage if it's the struggle, the slog, the shrill cry of solidarity. I can not take pride in my abundant stuff, in my submission to consumerism, in my accpetance of the status quo. I only disparage a mediocre life (perhaps through a mediocre song). I don't know you so how can I disparage YOU? If you take umbrage it's because you identify with what I consider mediocrity. So what. Go live your life. Revel in it. And leave me be.

Well, that was an unusual exchange.
Another well-constructed song. I like your vocals on this. And whatever is going on in the background, for example, around 3:50, is really impressive. I might have brought that up to a full wall o' sound, but that's just me. Provocative lyrics ... evidently.

cool
i like the sound of your vocals, and that music is perfect for it. almost reminds me of Tones on Tails during the verse (or maybe even Bauhaus). great track, from one prole to the other. i really love the change: "you're the king of the household."
