Description Kind of a pop-funk-southern -concert thing. I'm not in love with this mix and unfortunately nothing can be done about it because the original files were lost. All I have is this last mp3. So for the foreseeable future, it is what it is and I'm just gonna post it.

Great lyrics/song and a definite Prince feel {which I love). Excellent playing and performance.

Prince sound for sure - nice guitar and guitar tracks - vocals and keys too.

I think your drum track really lets this down - it's very, very repetitious - and I'm sure that this would sound much better with more variety there. Have a look at Drums on Demand for some excellent sets of loops, or give midi drumming a try (use a midi drum loop to start yourself off).

Apart from the drums, a very good post.

Yup!!
I definitely picked up a Prince-ish vibe with this tune. I can't find much to critique about this song. It sounds fun! It was probably fun to put together, I imagine....makes me want to put together a Prince-ish song.

My thoughts ..

lovely sound very accessible: to me there are touches of the Rolling Stones, Prince and even Robbie Williams "let me entertain you" all in together, to varying degrees.. very cool, enjoyed it alot.

I think the mix is great (like mix balance wise and stereo field etc) .. it might though benefit from some mastering sw to accentuate it in a general overall oomph kinda way... and fortunately that can be done just post processing on the .mp3 or .aif.

Thought I'd give
this another deserved listen. Fabulous. I disagree with Neil about the drums - I think the relentless pounding is spot on and they sound great too. My only crit is the organ riffs which sound great but are too identifiable as loops. Maybe they could be changed slightly so that it's not so obvious?
As I said - would have liked to download.
