Description My mother and I are performing some German folksongs next month (for our town's "Oktoberfest" celebration of Germany).

This includes only the first two stanzas. I messed up pronunciation on one or two of the words. :) oops.

I did this recording to figure out some harmonies I could sing. Figured I'd add some reverb and upload something just because. :)

Don't worry... still have an entire month to practice so of course we'll be listenable by the end of it. ;)
Lyrics Horch, was kommt von draußen rein, holahi, holaho,

Laß sie reden, schweig fein still, hollahi, hollaho,
kann ja lieben, wen ich will, hollahihaho!

Sweet
This is not at all unsubtle as I was expecting from a German song. (I'm from one of those european countries that has a prejudice about Germans.)

No, kidding aside, this sounds very nice.

0:19-0:20 One of the classical rules of voice leading is that two voices move in the same direction, then the second interval should not be larger than the first. Violation!

0:31 The second voice goes down a step. Probably a simple mistake. Should have stayed on the same note.

And you need to figure out what to do with the opening of the stanza. The melody is d-e-fis-g-a, I would sing d-c#-d-e-f# against it, rather than the constant f# you're using now.

But it sounds sweet and I'm sure you'll be a smash hit.

Harmonies
Sweet harmonies. I don't know German, so you could have slipped any mispronunciations past me. Very nice

Thanks
