Never heard...... the original, but I may say the same for others, anyway. I'm funking out here in my room. You're an original, Bob. I sure this was a true, home to earth piece. And you just warp the hell out of it, as only you can do. Tasty production. Dave |

Wow! I love how you put your own edge to this. Buckhorn's original is a great tune and you're right, it's a perfect snapshot of fatherhood. This is really cool. The chord changes with the "my baby" at the end are perfect. For everyone else, Buckhorn's original is called "These Things". |

electro bop! Well, all those synthy sounds keep this popping along.... this is more 80's than the 80's were! |

electro it wiggles out from the original, and creates a new life of its own. such antic singing and synthesizer. it is a slight reminder of ric ocasek. however you create more exuberance. this music is a manic smile. it is perfect. 0x0 |

I miss that voice! Never mind early Human League - Bob, you're in a league of your own! No loss of your punk sensibilities with this mashed up cover - just brilliant. Love the slurred, intentionally lazy, almost wrecked vocal here. Catchy synth all the way, too. Great to hear you on form, dude! Jim |

Excellent I have not heard the original (yet!) but this is cool. Great pop sound. I love the lyrics, and the groove is infectious. Love the synth sounds. Great stuff. Nicely done. Peace. |

Bob Phantasma-frickin'-glorious. I am boppin' my long-banged two toned mop-head right along. Love the affected vox. Totally fun! P |

As if the 80s never ended Great piece of knob twiddling here. All these synths give a very playful mood to this piece. And the guitar is just as wobbly sounding. Very much enjoyed. |

Hey Bob! Im very honored you chose to cover this. Its a very original take and it put a big fat smile on my face which isn't too easy to do. Love the pic too. You do look cool in that hat. Enjoyed very much. |

Lovely Very nice combination of different synth sounds to sit under the vocal, and the guitar puts the icing on the cake. |

Melodious Enigma I don't know what kind of filling graces your innards but your music always takes me to strange new places. The way the keyboard hops around is uniquely enjoyable and the reckless affectation in your voice entertains to no end. Very well done. |

awesome love it. i am a huge fan of Buckhorn and I really like how you twisted this into something completely different. Loving that funky clavinet bit (and the vox are perfect as always). and yes, we should do M.E. together. |

I went to the source and listened to Matt version so I'd know better were you came from Bob. This is very different than Matt's version, but is also very original. This is more playful feeling. I will admit, it sounds a little strange to my ears, but that more because I haven't been exposed to this type of music much, if at all, in the past. That said, it came out very well and retains the heartfelt meaning of the original, if not the genre. Thanks for sharing it Bob. you did an excellent job on it. Ed |

POP! Starts off Numan, ends up Bob D. Light and fun(n)ky, this is a typically big hearted offering from you! Pretty radical make-over from the original, but a great tune, with a clever little structure (sorry i didnt reply earlier but i'm just back to the land of fast broadband). steve |

I am off to listen to the original now
