Description Peacepiano recorded a piano solo jazzy tune with a very good left hand line . I made this cover using his bass line and adding garageband's drums ,percs , double bass, piano , electric piano, and my strat.

Jazz

Thank you very much .
There are so many ways of jazz...
The jazz's I love are from around 1965 till now :-)

Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the listen .

Ahem
That script for sorting your songs is pretty cool, but if you sort your latest, you make it hard for people to find it. Personally, I keep my latest song at the top of the list, unsorted, for a while.

Anyway, good grooving here. I'm jealous of how loose your fingers are. I get nowhere near that sort of fluent melody lines.

But I'm listening on cheap (Apple iPhone) earplugs and the bass is rather loud. That's probably even worse on speakers.

Stride
This is really fine; nice, easy stride and some beautiful changes. That strat has a warm, hollowbody sound; beautifully played!

Lovely stuff
I love the instrumental sounds on this, and the piano and guitar playing is lovely - really fluid and melodic. Killer bass line and perfectly counterpointed by the piano. Nice original track, Bill, and lovely interpretation, Henri. Nicely done. Peace.

HenriROGERsoloandbands said 129 days ago
Fluid

Thank you very much .
Bill's track is very inspiring for some modal jazz playing .

peacepiano said 129 days ago
Piano
The fast Piano lines are amazing. I like the way you beefed up the chords with the electric piano. The bass is loud but not too loud for me. My speakers have a pretty level frequency response, many cheap speakers and maybe head phones have a Peak in the mid bass to compensate for the lack of true low bass frequencies this may result in some very loud notes when the bass and bass drum are together, tough mixing call. Very original interpretation, I am honored you gave my little groove a go. Great stuff.

Thanks
Bill

Piano

I'm very glad you like this interpretation , thank you for allowing me
to cover your tune , it's been very interesting to work on it .
Your bass riff has the "jazz thing" : the rigth harmonic tension to sound jazzy .

Very cool Jazz piece here Henri
Where Bill's piece is all about the piano and sound Oh So Good, this piece is about a bunch of Jazz/Blues players wanting to have some fun and jam a little.

Great take on Bill's original my friend, I love this one. It's going on my iPod.

Be well and be cool,

Ed

Fun

yes, it's about having fun but ... seriously :-)
Thank you very much .

regulus said 128 days ago
Yah man
cool to the root and down to the bone the only thing there wasn't was the saxophone. But those are hard notes to come by on a strat. Nicely constructed and orchestrated. Really overall good feeling with this one. Much success to you.

HenriROGERsoloandbands said 128 days ago
Good feeling

Thank you very much .
You're right a sax would be great .

Rebsie said 128 days ago

Man,
That strat tone is slinky cool and mushy mellow. Tasty lines and a solidly chilling groove. Thanks for the great instrumental. The piano lead is mind-blowing. Great job.

Enjoyed how
you placed the music in the recording. How well placed each sound is. Nice Jazz!

Thanks for sharing, lots of terrific piano work. The whole piece of music seems very pro and on advanced level especially the piano improv!
