Description I've had enough of this hierarchy of suffering...
Lyrics Research Station #47

How are my primates today?
Now don’t look at me that way
If the world was perfect
We wouldn’t keep you in this cage

We’ve job a job to do here: saving human lives
You are a sacrifice
You’re suffering serves our purposes
Important purposes, you can’t understand

How are my primates today?
Just a few more electrodes
Just a few more viruses
Then maybe you’ll get a banana

We’ve a job to do here: saving primate lives
I mean human lives!
You’re the sacrifice, we’re the sacrificer
Your suffering, our purposes

You are not like us
So stop looking at me
As if your eyes are a window to your soul

See, if can’t cure this disease
Our suffering will just continue
You don’t want humans to suffer
Even primates wouldn’t wish that

I hate this job as much as you do
Ok, you hate it more, for it’s killing you
But it kills me too, in a different way
Perhaps a different way…

I’ve had enough of this hierarchy of suffering
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to me
You look like a monkey, and I look like one too
I swear they smiled, as I cried: bananas and champagne!
And threw the doors open, and they ran for the trees

Scientist?
I'm a social scientist, actually. This is the result when a former punk rock social scientist reads a book about Chimpanzee intelligence.

Glad you liked it!
