Description A remix of a song previously posted. I hope you like. I got the drums, vocals and the guitars to stand out a little more. Pumped up the volume in general.
Lyrics Your Mama’s Rockin’ Chair

Up, I want to see you up
Don’t want to see you down
Whatever you might do
Sound as solid as a pound
Don’t want to see you down
Just follow what is true.

Break your mama’s rockin’ chair.
Don’t let it take you down

Walk on both sides of the street
And pick up on the beat
Don’t let yourself get down.

Get that monkey off your back
Don’t let him rule your world
He’ll surely take you down
Break through that voodoo wall of glass
Don’t hide behind the mask
That wants to drag you down

Break your papa’s rockin’ chair.
Don’t let it take you down

Got to get on board the boat
And rock it ‘til it sinks
Whatever holds you down.

Sound as solid as a pound
Don’t want to see you down
Just follow what is true.

Walk on both sides of the street
And pick up on the beat
Don’t let yourself get screwed.

Break your mama’s rockin’ chair.
Don’t let it take you down

Get that monkey off your back
Don’t let him rule your world
He’ll surely take you down.

Feter Strikes Again!
Thanks Feter for again being the first to comment on a song. I greatly appreciate your effort here at Mac Jams.

I'm glad you liked the song. I think the remix helped, but I don't even remember what I did to other than make the drums standout a bit more and pump up the volume.

Thanks again.

Yep yep
I get a who kind of feel from this. Wierd where did you get the drums. very cool guitar and bass on this. For an oriental chick you shure do sound like a white guy. Just kiddin I really enjoyed this

Thanks Ego
Thanks for the nice comments. The drums are all loops from GB 3 pieced together with a bow and a tip of the cap to Keith Moon. He was the guiding light for the instrumental part.

The instrumental part also owes to The Who in general. The bass is really one note reminiscent of Entlwistle in Tommy and the guitar is a direct influence from Pete Townsend. Now if I could only sing like Roger Daltry I'd be in business.

Thanks again for coming by and listening.

Classic rock!
very 60's. I do hear some of the Who here. But I'm picking up some other 60's band sounds as well. and that's all god.

You Are Probably Right, Vic
Since I grew up during the fifties and sixties I would not deny any influences from those decades.

I appreciate that you came by, listened and commented.

Thanks, Vic

yes I can hear the Who
but it's not a million miles from the Undertones either. Good song for the small format and well performed.

John.

Wow - those drums
Best drums I've heard for ages - I have no idea how you did that, but very, very impressive.
Loved the song and performance too.
Cheers
Len

Thanks LG
Thanks for coming by and listening. I was out of town last week and just catching up on the MJ.

As for the drums, I used GB loops and was fortunate enough to find the right ones for this song. It was a bit of searching, but it came together.

I always appreciate your comments.

Love the drums and the vocal is great. Nice guitar work and the bass works very well, too. This had me moving - very cool. Nicely done. Peace.
