Description Repost and remix of an earlier effort. Changed synth from strings to high pitched organ. EQ's vocal and took out some of the mid-range and rebalanced all tracks by volume.
The lyrics use the theatre as a metaphor for life and death.
Lyrics
Lyrics:
Don't tell me any tales of your sorrow
Don't tell me no tales of your woe
I just want a happy ending to this scene before I go

Love, we can have love
Love it's the light that shines
And the darkness never stays very long, very long

So many roles you can play
While waiting for the curtain to fall
You cast yourself as an actor, searching for the crystal ball

Oh why, why can't you see
You've just got to let it be
And find your peace when it comes, when it comes

The applause is there for the dancer
Who can leap way beyond the moon
She weaves a crazy pattern and sings a lovely tune

Encore, encore they cry . . you still have so much to do
You have to rewrite the script, and find out what is true

Old Time Folk
Thanks my friend! This song definitely came out of the roots that you love so well. The old English folk ballad as seen (no pun) through my eyes.

There is sure
something about your haunting vocals that I enjoy listening to.

It's like you have a real hold on what it means to play the blues. You have the perfect voice in texture in delivering that style and nice guitar backing as well. Like how the acoustic guitar finger-picking is backing up your singing.

Finger Pickin Good
Thanks Bill! I love to finger pick that good ole Em chord. I probably write too many songs around that chord but it is one of my favorites because you can play so many open string licks with it.

Nice!
An old fave of mine Tom. The use of the high keys on this version gives it a kind of Bob Dylan's "Oh Mercy" album feel.

Lead riffing is crisp, clean, and ringing true. This also contains some of your finest singing.

Good to see you posting again my friend!

Be well!

Nice
Thanks Mike,
Love to play extended leads around minor chords and sevenths. Always have and I guess I always will.

Lovely!
This is one of my favourite bronoc songs, i recall it is almost three years since i heard for the first time. I loved it that time, and I still love it, but even more this time. This mix sounds incredibly good and clean, and the sound has this soft buttery feel. I recall the last mix was i bit hoter. I love this song, downloaded!

Lovely
Magnus good to hear from you! I'm happy you thought this was a worthwhile remix. I posted somewhere else and this guy kept telling me my vocal needed to be a lot warmer. As far as I could tell it meant I needed to tone it down a little by easing up on the mid-range with eq. Turned it back both in volume and a lower tone. I do think I did a good job on the lyrics on this one and it is in my top ten for that. Hope I can get up some energy one of these days and record some more. i have four or five new songs that I have written recently.

Encore!
Bronco,
very high quality re-mix. the guitar playing is so cool
almost a high plains, bolero like twist to it.
I have been watching some westerns and this would make
a excellent background to a starched desert scene coming
upon a village in the middle of now where where the man
who seems asleep against the adobe wall is the lookout
for a band of .. just really able to visualize on this
song man.

Did you get my e-mail re: Tiger OSX 10.4 and ..
it did not bounce back . you can e-mail me off my

I am going to be having left knee surgery (soon) blew my knee out , tore at least one of the two meniscus
per MRI and who knows when the Dr. gets in there
last thing I need for sure.
Hope things are well
This song sure is!

Not my fav genre
But you did it great credit here. Well played and mixed, and despite the length kept me at it 'til the end (which is well done ;-) Ooops, now I'm on my second listen...)

Thanks,

Henke

genre
thanks for listening and the kind remarks. The genre thing always drives me crazy! I never know what a lot of my music is. For instance this song could have been acoustic rock just as easily as folk rock. It's also a ballad and there is a genre for that, etc. etc. So I am glad you didn't let the genre keep you from listening.

Yep
That's it, this is power writing kinda love the message in this a lot.
And also the backing is way beautiful played.

Take care

Thanks
Good to hear from you. These lyrics have always been favorites of mine so it is good to get outside feedback that reinforces that. As I am sure you know, it is harder to critique your own stuff than someone else's.

glad I stopped by.

Thanks
Flamenco guitar playing and blues are my earliest influences when it comes to guitar playing so you are right in hearing that in my sound. Glad you enjoyed the song! Thanks!
