Keywords Psalms (1)Psalm (3)107 (1)desert (28)thank (6)chipan (3)
Description A while back I ran across Psalm 107. I was so moved by its description of wayward and lost people whom God saved that I felt I wanted to make it into a song. I feel like the Psalm is describing me (me being the rebellious one).
I didn't put the whole Psalm in this song because it's quite long, but for those interested I would encourage you to take the time to read the entire Psalm.

I probably wouldn't have posted this at all except that my wife really wanted me to. I'm a little embarrassed by my own voice, but I guess if I never try it will never improve. I actually hope to do more of the Psalms in the future.
Lyrics Some wandered in the desert
finding no place to dwell
Hungry and thirsty their soul fainted within

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble
and He delivered and set them free

Chorus:
Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love
Let them thank the Lord for His love
Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love
For His wondrous works to the children of men

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death,
For they had rebelled against the words of God

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble
and He delivered them and set them free

Chorus

Oh that men would praise the Lord
Oh that men would praise the Lord

Fine Work
Hi Chip

It's great to hear your voice. Suits the melody very well. Nice melodic song. Good you have a wife that encourage you. Keep the good work.

No problem for you to add your voice in future songs and it will naturally improve as you go along.

Take Care, Claus

Just wonderful
I like your voice a lot! I'm glad your wife got you to record and post this. This is just what I needed to hear this morning, to get my mind and heart in praise gear.

Thanks Roxylee
I'm glad you liked it. I've written and nearly finished one taken from Psalm 51 that I might put up next. Thanks for your comments. The Psalms are such a great emotional outlet among other things.

Thanks,

chip

This is smooth
I like it, the chorus is beautiful, your voice is fine, it kind of reminds me of Steven Camp, who is probably before your time. Good tune though, thanks for sharing.

Steve Camp
Sounds familiar, but I can't recall what his voice sounds like. Thanks for listening and commenting. I think I have figured out what this song lacks most, and hopefully someday I can redo it.

Peace,

There is everything right about this.
Your wife is a very wise woman. God bless you. Like Roxylee, I needed something this morning. Also, Thanks to pablatone . Because I saw that he had commented, I was interested. I love the way you put yourself in for backup. Perfect. You have a very clean and comforting voice. You did great. You did! Faved, and Downloaded. Thanks so very much!

Beautiful...
song rendition of Psalm 107. I like everything about this. Excellent arrangement with superb playing on that Gibson and Yamaha. And your voice blends well... nice singing.

yes... His steadfast love

Thanks
I appreciate your kind remarks about this. Actually I am thinking of re-doing it. I realized there are a couple things that might make it better. I think it would be more energetic if it were a little faster. Also I need to learn to sing with more energy. I guess it's partly a voice issue. Anyway thanks a lot for listening and commenting.
