Description One of a series of unfinished songs I made using short midi drum patterns which I "adjusted" and assigned different instruments to. The files were forever lost in a major computer crash; this is all that remains........

Really enjoying the spaced out sonnyjim sounds tonight... a lot of great moods you have created. This is one of my favorites!

SJ,
These 'survivors' from the crash are really interesting. I take them as sketches, or pieces of things that were just germinating, from the knowledge of the history of your music before. Or were these 'finished'? I really like the limited orchestration and restraint, it somehow makes the subtle transitions in tone and pacing even more impactful.

Interesting question
Are they finished? When I still had the files, I considered them embryonic; now that I only have these initial mixes, I listen to them as completed pieces. As you know --all too well-- I have a deep mistrust of 'production' and the way it trains the ear to hear 'polish' as completion. I like the semi-analog sound these things have, but in all honesty, I probably would have buffed 'em up if I'd had the chance. "Ah Glasshoppah, what is resson here?"

sci-fi
Quite scarey - sounds like that spaceship i was on one time flying towards rigel 9 when i realised i'd left the password and keys at home.Interesting sounds tho I'm glad the cyborg didnt find me.Creative and I like electronic spookiness.
