can i have a backsie? i didn't realize the strings (mellotron?) were in there so early... with the choir i guess. as you know, i love the idea of the vinyl fx (sound like an old school sample), but perhaps saved for the higher outtro strings - at 5:58. awesome song. cool guitar wanking, hehe. :) like all the levels... very dynamic. |

holy cow another great one from two of the most talented macjammers IMO. I'd love to know how you get those rich guitar tones. really like those harmony vocals too, intensifies things perfectly. even though distorted vocals are usually a turnoff for me, it sounded good on this one. still I wonder if I'd like it even better without the filter tho... ...of course the song is king, and this one rocks. keep the tunage coming lads! |

Amanda totally agree with Relic - when two of the most talented MJ'ers get together, watch out. This is one of the finest songs I've heard recently, or maybe in a long time, or possibly ever. ipod - trip music. thanks guys |

deeply moving and very simply, classic pink floyd. i meant it as a compliment the partly whispered vocals, are dreamlike, and exactly what the song asked for. almost like someone who is devastated, and between thoughts of suicide, and self loathing, he dreams of her, and whispers in his sleep all the things he cannot say aloud. great spase mix. this one might suffer with a big, ballad production. for me, it seemed more like an interlude piece, and i would like to hear part two of this song. it needed very little productionwise. when the guitars kick in at the 4:15 mark, you take off into wakeful depression, as if he has been shocked awake, and sits head pounding, solo kicking his skull into shards. wow. there are few songs out there i download, but this one i am. Wow... I have nothing to offer mix wise. This is hauntingly beautiful. I especially like what RazorsKiss had to say about it. This is moving, and soulful. Anything outside of backing off the vinyl effect shouldn't be done. This is one of those times when in it's current form, the song is most powerful, because it has a raw edge to it that lends to it's overall honesty. I had no idea it was 8 minutes long till I looked, and thats a good thing. I listened to one just before this that was 7 minutes, and I felt like it was 7 minutes that I'll never get back. This on the other hand makes me feel like I have invested those 8 minutes. Definitely worth the download. Thanks you two you have something here you can be very proud of. |

Put together From the operator to the last note when It comes to your songs Its always A treat to listen and learn.YA know I think the only change would be to maybe change the low bullhorn sounding lyrics to something else but that is only subjective and it follows the guide lines of opinion. Again a well thought out song. The build up and lead are a special touch here I know you think your band might not have thought so but in all honesty how else could you express the feeling of wanting the object of the song Amanda. I knew an Amanda once she was one of the most beautiful girls I ever came across long brown hair and green eyes but thats another story. Great song thanks! glad to here the phone fx at the end sort of a hang up ! |

Excited ALWAYS look forward to yours. I think that was a great idea to spruce this up instead of playing it straight. Love the choir sound. The vocals were stellar my friend. Would love to hear this close your album one day. Great, great stuff. Dave |

nice Really dig it. A real shoe gazer with an awesome kick in the pants. I agree with others about the vinyl pops, but enough of beating that horse. I also think that the volume shift downwards out of the first crescendo is a bit severe, meaning the quiet bits are a bit low in volume in comparison IMHO. The song has some real smoothness as well as bite. After all the talk of the solo-ing in the description I was ready for some real self-indulgent noodling, but it's pretty short actually, I would have pulled out the stops and twanged it all out like you were playing live--anyway, downloaded before it was half through playing. Nice work. PV |

Amanda wow, it's hard to believe this is a macjams post--i've purchased songs like this. i'm partial to the deliberate low-fi quality of the production (i don't find the vinyl effects to be overdone), but with a professional studio treatment this could be something you'd expect to hear on a pop cd. best, -=ez |

Top post! Not sure if I've been listening to too much heavy bass recently, but the bass track's not all that defined for me - it really only shows up in a few parts as a distinctive entity. Then again, I guess it's a kind of sound wall sort of song and the bass becomes part of the wall. Sometimes the simplest songs work the best, and this is a really good example of that.. Sorry, I don't mean this to be negative - maybe I just need to get my ears cleaned. I really like this. Neil |

Amanda awesome song guys. Everything that's already been said I ditto! You are definitely 2 of the best around here and this song is just an incredible collaboration. Love the guitar solo and the mellotron at the end. In my opinion, the mix is great and the fx you added are perfect. thanks for another great tune! |
