Description Just here expressing myself... again.

Hope you enjoy!

Peace!
Lyrics You thought you could test
Me and that
You knew what was best for me
But I
Don't think I'll fit
In your
Big plan that's it
And the wind
Blow me your
Sunshine

I know that you're good
I'm still here
You still do good for me
But please
Don't make me fit
In your
Big plan that's it
And the wind
Blow me your
Sunshine

And I know
Yeah, I know
I'm not exactly right

Don't blame me
Please don't blame me
If I put up a fight

I'm no Star
But my heart is
burning bright

Send the wind
Blow me your
Sunshine
Hardware Me, etc...

Keep expressing yourself,"Im no star but my heart is burning bright" I think this is the perfect line for this tune. Some soft guitar, crisp and easy. My two cents. I just wish the vocals were a little cleaner. Nice job!
Thanks and be well, Russ

Hey Russ!
Thanks for your input. If I like a tune, eventually I readdress it.

I'm glad you picked up that line in the lyrics. I think it might be the most real line here!

Very expressive. Has a coffee house live performance feel to it. Enjoyed!

Thanks

Great sound Doug
This is the best sound I've heard from you I think. Lovely writing and performance. A few minor nits - there are some plosives that cause a little distraction, and I'd look at moving that LH acoustic a little further in towards the centre - I'm really searching for nits here. Harmonies are rich and warm. I really like this - I think you've outdone yourself here.
Cheers,
Neil

Neil!
Your comments are so generous! You must have figured out my angle pretty well. I appreciate it.

I will more than likely address this one again.

In the meantime, thanks for the sunshine!

Peace,
Doug

wow - this is so excellent! Gorgeous harmonies, really great work!

Hi Karen!
Happy for your visit! The harmonies were fun and a bit more than the groaning that I usually come up with!

Alannah said 152 days ago
I like it .....
..l but would agree with some of the earlier comments .. that the mixing itself could use a little clarification .... the harmonies work well ... but seem mixed in too deeply ..... losing some of the clarification of the main vocal .... and also lose the integrity of the harmony .... its all in the MIXING .... ( of which I lack skills ... so my advice on how to fix such things lacks ...) .... but great lovely tune ... would TRULY benefit from the mixing expertise of the big guns here who are willing to offer the tips .....

Expressive
Expressing yourself is right! This is really expressive; just raw emotion coming through when you sing. And your voice is sounding great; I hear shades of Robert Plant. Guitar sounds great too; whole thing sounds great!

Doadars Uncle said 149 days ago
Clark!
I'm always happy when you visit! Robert Plant is a fun comparison! Happy you like it!

Excellent ..
.. "back to basics" song Doug. Lyrics are top shelf and the straight forard melody and treatment are very good.

I agree with the comments about the mix - worth a second look I think (for what that's worth).

Thanks!
Thanks for swinging by and commenting! That's what it's all about, anyhow.

I'll let you know when I rework it.
