Description Newly discovered synths in my favourite black box needed a run. All instruments (except a few additional percussion bits) played in manually. Oh, and the drums are pretty highly modified midi loops.

It's a slow starter and it's a long piece, but I like to think it's worth sitting it out.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Retro you got some awesome grooves going in this song. I really enjoy it with the bells echoing. It reminds me of something from Sonic in a snow world or ice cave which is really neat. The bass line fits well with it too and the ending is nicely mellowed out. Nice work here! I look forward to your future works :)

Thanks for listening to my little tune Kori - I really have to make more time for recording stuff - this was a lot of fun to play.

Ryuichi Sakamoto...

japan
I did not expect this from you. Reminds me of the band Japan, especially the sleek fretless-like bass la Mick Karn. Since it's the kind of thing I'm into at the moment, it's nothing but a compliment.

It certainly takes its time to develop, but subtlety of motion and progressive complexity is required for this kind of atmospheric piece.

Babylon 5
Reminds me of some of the rich, sonic landscapes that Christopher Franke would paint behind the 90's sci-fi series Babylon 5. Full of vision and depth, with a solid meaty bass anchoring the drifting seas of watercolours.

Perfect for a place of wanderers, adventurers and those who are not quite what they appear to be...

Very cool
Melodic and flowing almost like if you were granted the ability to float amongst the clouds. Great piece Retro ;) Enjoyed this muchly.

Cool
I like this. The arrangement is well done, building slowly and drawing you into its embrace. Definitely an 80s vibe to it for me, especially that bass sound, and those ringing notes. I'm with alfalpha on the Sakomoto comparison. Kind of cinematic; I can hear this over the opening credits of a movie (or a montage of the preparation for a heist!) Very cool. Nicely done.
