Description this is a tune done with NightshadeSyndicate. i'm posting this just to get opinions......as i haven't been able to reach him in two weeks and really need to know what people think about it.

nightshade did the amazing music on this one...except for the guitar work, which is me. greg, my co-conspirator in sons of hypnos, was gracious enough to hop on board for some backing vocals. i really hope you all enjoy this......think david lynch's "twin peaks". thank you....

nightshadesyndicate - all music except guitar
greg - "baptized by the fire" and breathy backing vocal
age - guitar and lead vocals/lyrics
Lyrics -BURN-

there's only one way to get inside
torch the damn thing and fan the flames high
they're holding something that was once yours
your heart, your mind, your soul and much more

so burn
wash away your memory, douse myself in flame
(baptized by the fire)
so burn
the drums of war all cry for blood, i hear them call my name
(baptized by the fire)

there's only one way anything can survive
let flames consume it all, let ash fill the sky
a plague infecting what was once pure
diseased, destructing the whole ****in world

so burn
wash away your memory, douse myself in flame
(baptized by the fire)
so burn
the drums of war all cry for blood, i hear them call my name
(baptized by the fire)

burn
bob your head and watch it burn, say yes to the flames
(baptized by the fire)
so burn
incinerating everything, heads bob all the same
(baptized by the fire)

this world is harsh, we're not children anymore
we're merely soldiers fighting only ourselves
i guess it takes lives to even the score

so burn
i've got a simple solution, it's the only cure
(baptized by the fire)
so burn
i've got a simple solution bathe in fire so pure
(baptized by the fire)

New Age music?
I don't now what this is but it sure sounds fresh and new.. Too me this is so good sung as music is simplicity and that is what I really like with it... The music is just in the background and do the justice... It really hold my attention through the whole song... Nice ride :) I love this..... About the production there it's harder for me to tell as I'm so f--- bad at English terms (language) BUT I have to thank you for the download I love your voice I think that is 70 % of this song.

Take care

Very interesting...
...arrangement: unusual and interesting. Your guitar over the top is very effective. I like the malevolence in the vocal, but I think it could be even dirtier - more growly. I can see someone like Nick Cave doing this song and almost making his head explode in the recording studio. What you've got here is great but I think it could be more extreme, less comrpomising in an attempt to make it even more disturbing. The "buuuurnnn" vocal is great but again, could/should be even wilder.

A fascinating track though. Very enjoyable, and I'm a total Twin Peaks fan so can appreciate the influence.

thanks phil! yah, i thought about making it a bit dirtier...but when i tried, it didn't sound quite right. this went through a few trial stages before coming to what it is now. might just have to do another "dirtier" version sometime. man, having nick cave (one of my all-time favorites) do something like this all wild-like would be completely awesome...pure raw power! thanks for the suggestions, means a lot!

what was that? sounded like a shite regurgitated!
leaving a bad taste in ones mouth....but the insects tasted good man!!!
whose name? re-record this after you have snacked on some local mushrooms or better still........don't! HAHAHAHA!
this is horrible in every way!!! stop it!

burn
can't tell if that was just plain rude or if you were being sarcastic....either way, i hope the taste stays in your mouth for quite some time. each to his own, although there are times when "to his own" would be the better route to take. thanks for stopping by and listening though, i do appreciate that. if you were being serious in your words, then well, i'm sorry you didn't like it...

interesting tune
pretty cool actually. right off the bat when I saw the photo, cool twin peaks and that was before I read your description.

I was just thinking of some ideas on this, so this isn't a critique or anything.
On the guitar line maybe adding tremolo. seems twin peaks tunes used that a bit.

another idea was maybe multiple vocals on "burn".
just thoughts.

thank you for the suggestions vic, they're much appreciated and definitely noted. this may not be the end product on this tune...kinda waiting to see what nightshade thinks of it before it goes anywhere. glad you got the "twin peaks" reference with the photo...i tried to pick more of a vague one, that only the hardcore peaks fans might recognize. thanks again man!

First and
foremost - I really love the truly infectious groove to this, hits you immediately. Absolutely love the lyrics and vocals, in fact, this is a definite download. Maximum creativity and talent on show here.

i like it
cool tune! very original sound. not sure if you guys have ever heard of 'Tea Party' but this reminds me a lot of them. Love the beats NS came up with for this. the vocals are great, but I would have liked to hear some sort of effect, maybe a little distortion, on the 'so buuuurn' parts to really punch em out and separate them from the rest. guitar sounds good and I agree with vic - a little tremolo would be perfect. but yeah overall great song here. worth going further with.

i have heard of the tea party, and i love them. i have their album splendor solis...i love it. it's honor being compared to them in any way.

nightshade is back now, and i'm awaiting his opinion on the song. i think the changes you guys mentioned would work, we'll see what nightshade thinks. always appreciate your comments ridd, glad you enjoyed!

I thought I left a comment must of been when the baby grabbed the key board when i was waiting for the ok great song love the all around feel ! Sorry for the gypsy like responce

Sounds Like...
you've been snackin' on some of the local mushrooms. :p

What a disappointment. I was expecting Michael J. Anderson to pop out from behind the curtain. LOL

I'm a David Lynch fan and I can certainly catch the vibe in here... a wee bit bizarre and unsettling.

Vic offered some nice suggestions. I would add some octave-shifted voices on *burn*. Another thought was an occasional harp glissando wafting through --- maybe played backwards, though. ;)

What a great change of pace
from our usual fare. Really nice collab - your lyrics and vox are strong and effective - and the guitar is extremely restrained - yet just right. Very cool.

hehe i like the so burn part it sounds unique the way its done. this entire thing is unique you guys always sound unique :) love the lyrics as always. nice use of tv voices. nifty picture. is that a crow cawwing in the background? or you just making silly noises?

i love twin peaks, and this song does have a certain "fire walk with me" feeling to it. it also reminded me of the "ascension" episode of x-files (the one where they play "red right hand" by nick cave). had to download this one.

cheerz,
