Description c.1752–1812, chief of the Miami, Little Turtle was born in a Miami village near present-day Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was know for his oratorical powers, intelligence, and military skill . He was a commander of the Native Americans in the defeat of Gen. Josiah Harmar on the Miami River in 1790 and of Gen. Arthur St. Clair on the Wabash River in 1791. After several attacks on the forces of Gen. Anthony Wayne, he urged his people to persue peace but he was overruled. Consequently he was not in command at Fallen Timbers. He reluctantly signed the Treaty of Greenville (Ohio) in 1795, ceding a great part of Ohio to the whites, and he also signed several subsequent treaties. Later he refused to join Tecumseh’s confederacy against the whites. He persuaded many of the Miami to turn to agriculture and appealed to the government to halt the liquor trade among his people.

I like it!
Wow.. this has a really nice old school 60's psychedelic rock feel. Like the filtering you put on the GB bass loop... it makes it almost feel custom made.
Sweet organs, good trance-like feel.

thanks for the visit and the comment
I always try to use the loops as a beginning, not an end, of a sound. Glad you acknowledged my efforts.

Very interesting Piece here Bill
I like the story you tell of the Miami tribe and their Chief. This has a wonderful native feel to it that shines through the modern day instrumentation. Very well done, I really like this on several different levels.

Very good track my friend, Kudos to you for the track along with the consideration and respect you give the Miami tribe.

Thanks
I appreciate your visit and your comment. Tried to create a piece that had some interest but was not a cliche.

Hope I made my goal with this one.

Thanks for the
history lesson as well as a great piece of music. No need to worry about whether your achieved your goal, this is very interesting without at all being cliche. I like the change ups in it, and it moves along nicely without being monotonous, which can be hard to achieve with a rock instrumental piece. Very solid song.

thanks
you are right about rock instrumentals and the goal that I have with all of the songs I post here is to try to make them UN Boring. Glad it worked for you.

Love the story
Thanks for a great sounding classic rock song!
The history in your song description made it come to life.

If you are interested in the Ohio Indian Wars, you should look up "William 'Indian Billy' Dragoo."
He was an ancestor of mine who was captured by the Indians in Brown County Ohio.

The keys and guitar sounded great.
The overall mix is loud and clear with that "pump" compression effect that I love so much.
Cheers

thanks for the tip
I'll take that info along with me to the library when I go next time. I'm always interested in seeing if I can learn something new.

I wondered
about the picture. I have seen portraits? of him that showed him to be a rather ordinary looking man. But statues should not be of ordinary looking men who were heroic in life. The need to be heroic statues. Some liberties may have been taken by the sculptor. Who knows.

Nice But Loops . . .
I really enjoy the variety of sound in this song and the psychedelic feel to it. The only thing that bothers me is that it's obvious that there were standard GarageBand loops in it like the dance club one at the beginning. Other than that the groove is great with the organs and guitars. I'm looking forward to your future works and adding this to my favorites list :)

announcer said 165 days ago
that is always a problem
When using loops I always have the problem that some people will be very familiar with them from the programs they came from. I was promised that I could buy a jam packs with my birthday money to get some different sounds but a new heat pump and the increasing gas prices took precedent. :)

Glad you liked it though. And thanks for the comment.
