Song Description

Matt and I were watching the Animusic II video of "Pogo Sticks" and at one point Matt said "Let's do a song like that!"

So we went off to the Mac to do just that.

Well, it's not really like it, but heck, it was fun to do anyway. Matt picked out the drum loop, I made up the bass/clav loop, and then Matt recorded two improvisations on top of that.

	hehehee This is not my usual genre to listen to, and I'm not familiar with the video you mentioned, but I felt like I was back playing the old arcade games of the late 70's....Space Invaders, Centipede, and Asteroids! Great synths...and a lot of fun :)

	. I put screenshots of the settings here: http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee225/smokeyvw/Pogo.jpg I selected a mono synth since it only plays one note at a time (the last note). After all, Matt is only 5 1/2.

	Let's hear it for Matt! This is awesome. What a great fun track. I remember doing something similar with Dylan a few years back where I tuned my Mustang to open D with distortion and played bass along with him and a drum loop. Gotta have this kind of fun. Actually - Krista Tippet's Speaking of Faith show on NPR this morning was about the importance of fun in our lives and development.
