Description Just some gentle meanderings.

The drums are made with Ultrabeat, and all synths are Zebra.

Lovely melody
and chords Vic. Like the slight oriental feel to it - nice orchestration and excellent production. Maybe some vocals would work well on this.
Cheers
Len

Moviz said 176 days ago
Love
the percussion in this and the way it all builds slowly. Nice melodies taking me on a nice mental journey. As Len said slightly Oriental in places, because of the instruments maybe, but a really pleasant piece, regards M

Very nice...
A good tune to cast one's mind adrift to Victor...

Engaging arrangement. Nice clean mix. Wonderful ambience...

Be well!

Vic Holman said 175 days ago
A little different
then what you normally do. I highly enjoyed this piece.

a nice melodic composition and nicely mixed.

Yeah, I agree that some vocals could fit in this very well. Preferably female.

I really like this. Its got some really nice meandrings:) Love the sounds.

Peace Dee.

nice mood
Sounds relaxed and peaceful in here:)

Reminded me of Lady In Red by Chris de Burg for some reason...

Well put together, and a good balanced mix/production.

De Burgh
Interesting comment. "Lady in Red" is an excellent example of music that you can dance "nightclub two-step" to. Without having LiR in mind, I was indeed trying to write something that would fit that dance. In the end I think I didn't quite capture the beat. Maybe that general feel is what you picked up on.

Thanks for the compliments.

nice
great mix. love how it builds. has kind of an 80s feel about it. really relaxing tune.

dajama said 173 days ago
Gentle is
the word, and very nicely done, too. Far from meandering, though, in my book. I like the patient build-up and the introduction of different instrumentation is very well done. Lovely progression, and nice bass notes. Not sure about the snare sound-seems a little intrusive to me. But that's just my taste. A lovely mood, great arrangement, and nice melody. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Hey Vic...
The production on this is as good as I have ever heard. If I could mix half as well as you, my songs would be much closer to where I have always envisioned. This is beautiful and and melodic, I love the slow build to it that everyone else does. You are another artist I love to listen to, and have several of yours in my Itunes. I can listen to one of your songs and hear things I would like to have in mine from a production standpoint. I don't think I have it in me to write at the same level as you. I want you to know you are one of those artists, that whenever I listen to something of yours, I learn something from both a musicians point of view as well as a production one. This is a very beautiful piece sir.

Thanks for noticing
all the things that went right with this track.

Of course, as the maker I only hear what goes wrong. Like that bass. I wanted to make a track where all synths were done with Zebra, but that didn't really work for that bass. I've tweaked it ten ways and still I'm not entirely happy with it. Likewise, the melody is a preset that I could tweak only so far before it would lose its character, but I wish I could give it just a bit more edge.

Anyway, the trick to a full production is to listen for the loudest track, and make it softer. Rinse, repeat.... I'm kind of pleased how dense and still detailed this mix came out.

it is a wonderful night for a drive. very cool melodic synths. the progression always seem to introduce another slight tension in the chords with each pass. the asian like overtone fit it well. bravo Vic

Very good
I like the melodies and the sounds are nice, powerful and deep. I too like the chord changes (one thing I should do more of) and interesting oriental plucks. Very good track all in all.

VicDiesel said 165 days ago
Oriental
Thanks for the compliments.

You're not the first one to remark on oriental sounds, and I'm completely mystified. Now that you add "plucks" I think I know which synth you're referring to, but it still doesn't sound oriental to me.

Btw, check out that Zebra synth. Not free, not even cheap, but incredibly powerful.

again
i find the drum sounds very brittle to the ear...and again, the rest is recorded and mixed wonderfully.

is a Zebra a keyboard?...certainly makes some beautiful sounds.

nice work, fat recording with a sweet soul feel...i could hear an Al Greene type vocal to this...

best

I love what you do.
Your work is diverse and always, always complete. You put all your effort into each song you craft. I don't think it sounds oriental. It makes you want to dance, grab someone and hold the person close and move together.
Thank you.
