Keywords as bad as this song is - it's still better than that new GNR album. (1)
Description Back in 2001 my roommate worked for the now defunct Zoom Culture. Zoom Culture did 3-5 minute documentaries on random things primarily for the internet. Zoom Culture was great and had a lot of great underground documentaries, but even in 2001 watching videos on the internet meant sitting around waiting for things to buffer. Perhaps Zoom Culture was too soon.

But anyway, my friend was doing a documentary on the wedding of our mutual friend. It was a bi-racial lesbian wedding and the doc ended up great. It really is a shame that whoever hold the rights to those docs doesn't put them on YouTube or something. Anyway, my roommate asked me to do the music. Only I didn't have any instruments that worked at the time so I had to use toys to compose and record the music on my 4-Track. It's repetitive and has a great "oh shit, this is the ending?" ending. The mix I gave him was a little better than this (the 'piano' at the end is a very hot). But Tobin's interview reminded me of this piece. Not my best work by far, but reminds me of a fun time in my life.

The title is based on a piece of mail my friend Rita Paolo got. They spelled her name wrong, and it ended up sounding delicious.
Hardware miniature nylon string guitar, awful keyboard, $50 bass/amp combo that I bought my friend for Christmas. Tascam 4-Track.

They do get a great sound... or can. I have a lot of garbage on mine, but sometimes you get it just right and it sounds good. Thanks for listening!

Thanks Feter!
It's a fun tune. Nothing serious. Just a good time. Thanks for stopping by.

Right up my alley
This could have been in Juno. Sweet tune.

Dave

Juno
It does kind of have that feel. I love the Moldy Peaches so I'll take that as a compliment

Great ear...
...for a tune - even if the equipment isn't up to much. Nice little piece. Cheers.

Thanks
I do love melody. I'm glad you liked this. Especially considering it is without a doubt the only recording ever to have the worst instruments all playing at once. I'm working on something now using nothing but my daugher's toys. I'm sure they'll sound better than what's on this. Thanks for coming by!

Hey sometimes simple is great!

what can I say
I'm a groundbreaker. Joking, of course. The copy of this song I gave to my friend goes on mixed tapes but always has a different artist name and title. My favorite: The Kelly Kapowskis - Unclench.

Upbeat...
...little ditty, this. An enjoyable lo-fi listen!

Nice guitar work man! Really like the fast chording in the mid-section.

Be well!

Lennon714 said 138 days ago
Thanks
Me, You, and Marty Robbins showing the world how Glendale does it. Glad you stopped by and listened to my song. There was no category for lo-fi, indie documentary score. "Cinematic Soundtrack" sounds very John Williams, something this track is very NOT. Glad you liked it anyway!

Cool
This is melodic and cool. If the vibe is there, it'll come out, whatever the instrument! Nice. Peace.

Thanks.
I love sounds from kids' instruments. They're goofy and for some reason they just sound good to me. THanks for listening and picking up on the vibe!

i like the elvis costello sound I hope that does not offend I enjoyed this. Try some drums on this I think it would be great !

Lennon714 said 135 days ago
Thanks Ego.
I think the only person your Elvis Costello comparison would offend is Elvis Costello. I love him to death and take it as a huge compliment. I will probably redo this song at some point the lyrics and drums and the whole shebang. That elusive "someday"...

Great
Enjoyed this a lot

It's always good to know that I've got a fan in Brian Eno.

So we all agree?
Synth, you play C-F-E-ded.

Bass, you on the other hand play C-F-E-ded.

Guitar, what ever chords as long as it has C-F-E-ded on top. What? Can't do "ded"? Ok, as long as you hit the main notes.

Lennon714 said 130 days ago
hmmm
I may have played that in one part, if the guitar was tuned up a half step from how I normally play it - which it very well may have been. It was many moons ago and notable use of theory wasn't the goal so I'm going to take your word for it. Thanks for at least checking it out :)
