Description This is probably the song I've put the most work in, production-wise. I finished writing it in November 2007 (under great Peter Gabriel influences) and have since then mixed it several times. I think this one is pretty darn good.

I already sent this to Ziti in hope for some killer licks and lines and solos, because this song really needs it, I think - since it pretty much lacks a real melody.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this!

P.S. Again, the picture was taken from my front yard.

I haven't been here in awhile and this is great to come back to.

Very relaxing - perfect picture. A little tropical too. And a wee little feel of reggae at points.

As far as production - yes - sounds well mixed. I'm kinda high on sugars, events, etc right now so no negative critique right now.

Ooh. Awesome kick drum at 3:18. Perfect.

Your front yard - wow. I see where you get a lot of your inspiration.

My ipod needs this. Whatever you did mixing, it sounds great. You need an album for sale. :) Or two.

OK, well first of all, I want you front yard! Secondly Einar, this is just STUPENDOUS! You are just oozing with talent, and I was so excited to see a post from you! Even though I agree that ziti's guitar here would be great, this piece also stands alone beautifully. You are just an amazingly gifted musician and it's always a thrill to hear your creations!

Killer...
Amazing track, that's what I love about your work my friend. You're a real MASTER when it comes to such type of music which is a real favorite of mine.... I love this track very much and thanks for your addition to the collection!

Makes me feel a lot
This is like energy contained in a box that you open and let some out. I can hear it straining at the bit, so to speak, and yet remaining at a place that soothes us. Your composing, arranging, and mixing skills are superb. Your hard work shows in this flawless piece. I can imagine it letting loose and getting some jubilant wildness with Zit's guitar work but it is perfect as is, too.

What I love
about what you do is that you make a lush hip synth sound. I really can't say in all honesty anyone here at MJ that does it better. The percussion is sublime here. Done with just the right use of drum sounds, which to me really adds the movement, like a master-cowboy being chased by would be pursuiter's that don't have a snowballs chance in a desert to even get close to the masked hero of hero's.. Love that feeling with the terrific sounds your making on this E, so so cool !

This is downloaded a faved and amongst your best I think and amongst my fav's here at MJ !

Way To Go!

As with other things you've done...
I can get excited about how it sounds right now, AND I can also get excited by the notion that at some point it'll have Fran's playing on it...

Great mix, great synth textures...

Great job!
As Bill (The TIler) said, no one does a better job of getting a lush synth sound than you, Einar, and this one is another excellent example. It stands on its own very nicely as is, but I can imagine it having a more pronounced melody line of some sort -- be it Ziti, or whoever else wants a crack at this -- which would also be very cool.

Very fine work here Einar, once again!

yikes
what an incredible sound. The whole ambience screams world class. Really stellar song writing here, Mr. Ein. I especially like the main keyboard sound. Sounds layered. Great choices on all the patches.

Your front yard isn't too shabby either :-)

I like the simplicity great drum srtucture. Some great piano in there also. I hope you get some killer guitar on this. In my honost opinion I think it lacks nothing even with out the guitar. Enjoyed thanks

Fluid and articulate!
Kinetic. This is a good highway piece. I love the way you build to the ending!

Einarus!
I have been listening to your songs quite a lot this early summer, and it is really great! This one is too. A very nice build, an incredible soundscape, flawless mix as far as I can hear.

Still, I can agree it is not yet that potential "killer" song that I have started to expect from you. I am very much looking forward to hearing some serious Ziti sounds over this. (The Edge of Reason is definitely one of my top 5 MJ songs!) So, if anything is still missing here, that's probably it!

Thanks for sharing!

/Henke

P.S. Some cool front yard!

Beautiful and relaxing. I really enjoyed this, great percussion in there, but it wasn't overpowering. Love the piano and other sounds you chose to use. Very nice - thank you!

My first experience
with your music, and this is a great initial impression. I think the mix sounds great, although I could use just a wee bit more drums.

Thanks - very nice.
