Description Writing this song helped me get through the hardest time in my life. It also is one of the first songs with lyrics I ever wrote. Newly recorded (6/18/08), this is the first time I've made it public...aaahh...a little scary.

Lyrics The last year's been a journey...if it wasn't for God, wasn't for friends or family, I don't know where I'd be, but I know it wouldn't be pretty.
My father fell ill with cancer. The family's been through so many, so many highs, so many lows.. too many to count. One could never know, one could never know.

These tough days are feeling longer and longer, but I'll be damned... I'll be damned...I'll be damned, if what doesn't kill you, doesn't make you stronger, and stronger, and stronger.

It's been over a year later now since he's been gone, and I'm just now moving on. It's so hard to get passed all of those memories of all that pain and suffering that was witnessed by me. Life's too short to be sad all of the time, but if you are one of those, than I hope and pray that you'll find some piece in these here written melodies.
