Description
Hi - my last visit here for a little while I'm afraid so I'll leave you with a song I wrote in 2004 after being nearly run off the road by one of these bloody things. This one had a rhino logo on the spare wheel cover as well !
Hope you like the song,
See you soon,
John.
Lyrics
Four Four Mentality by woofer3
Four Four Mentality- written 2004
verse1. The motorway's flat and the motorway's free,
So why they wanna buy 'em then you tell me?
They think they're out in Africa-it's so much fun,
Crocodiles freak when they see them come.
verse2. Birmingham city or in Camden Town,
They're a source of irritation gonna bring you down,
I guess they're trapped deep inside their own fantasy,
And they got no time for reality
Chorus. It's just four four mentality,
It's just four four mentality.
verse3. The big white hunters are everywhere,
Shoot that rhinoceros and trap that bear,
Living in the city is wet and grey,
But we'll pretend it's Kenya just for today-
Chorus
Guitar break
verse4. Tigers out roamin' on the Old Kent Road,
Lizards out hunting for the yellow back toad,
Gonna make a camp as the sun goes down,
Waking up at dawn to the familiar sounds-
Chorus

Hell
I used to drive one with the Rhino on the back (I borrowed it having just passed my driving test) - used to feel like it going to turn over when ever you went 'round a bend! 4x4's are a pet hate of mine these days (as mentioned in my song 'I'm Not One of the Many'). Coming from Peckham, I can relate to any song that mentions the Old Kent Road. Great!
Sorry you're not going to be around for while.
All the best
Peter

Thanks John!
Leaving us with another thoughtful little vignette on modern life.
How I agree with you.
As always, good fun and fine musicianship.
Take care and hope to see you post again in the not too distant future.
Cheers

Another
Totally cool song I relate cause the idiots in my city think it's a right to own a useless 4x4 truck or SUV the only thing I can see coming out of the gas prices is that I see a lot more of them for sale.....and sitting collecting dust lol. Great job and I hope you're back soon.

How Are We Going to Make it?
How can we keep going without a new woofer3 every week. I guess we'll just have to go back in the library and start all over again.
Hope all is well in Wales and that you'll be back soon.
Another great song, with a good arrangement and a nice touch with the horns.

Sorry for the delay in responding
I haven't been here for a little while in an effort to avoid the tempting distractions of the internet. Thank you all for your comments, this was just another song to let off steam and I should have said at the time that this is not directed at all 4x4 users as I happen to know some very nice ones as well, but around by me there do seem to be a lot of arrogant ones.
Thank you.

This is the bounciest
piece of music I have heard here. It is crazy to think you must have a 4x4. Sorry you were savaged by the beastie. At least you got a rollicking good song out of it. Thanks. I enjoyed that.
