Rapping Wowsa, what absolutely excellent production. This sounds absolutely stellar on my monitors; the space is incredible! I'm looking forward to my second listen on headphones. I can tell it's going to be an amazing sonic landscape. What a very cool idea to use the rapping of a bird's beak as the musical metaphor underlying this whole piece. It reminds me of the piece you did a while back that was based around a single "C". I can't remember the title, but it has always stuck with me as one of the cleverest concepts for a song (as well as a really great song). The guitars sound terrific here. |

Very easy on the ears! Not much I can find to criticise in this, except that it really needs a classy vocal. If Anne Cozean was still at MJ (SISTERS) I'd suggest getting in touch with her to add what's needed. Maybe you could try her over at SongRamp. Very cool blues, but screaming out for a vocal. Neil |

"gently rapping" indeed ... smooth and sweet mix here ... and neil adds an interesting suggestion for an addition to this gem ... but as is is a keeper ... such nice spacing for everything to shine! do i like this alot ... umm yeah! |

moody dude you gotta put this over to Open Collabs - and get some vocals sung over top of it. this has great mood - very inspiring i woke up this morning and i think i know i heard a tapping on my door looked out my window and saw this bird the notion stuck with me all through my day every phone call, every email through the words i couldn't hear what they say |

Time well spent Bill, an excellent production her my friend. This one going on my fav list and my iPod. - What a cool trip to take along with you and Mr Poe. There was one part when the "Guitar" lead first started, that it almost sounded like you were actually playing a mandolin instead of a guitar and then running it through the amp simulator. Very cool indeed if that's what you did, but an excellent guitar part never the less. Thanks for sharing this one, I can see why you would be proud. Ed |

I like this probably more than any you've done, though I like them all. It's just the instrumental variety in this with the various wonderful sounds. I took Ledeb's advice and listened with headphones...... love when the sax(?) came in and the winding down sound later after the tapping. Fantastic musical imagery. Great stuff, regards M |

I love Poe, great soundtrack groove for the Raven. In Chicago here recently there is a bird attacking people, very Hitchcockian. I guess this bird has gotten to at least 10 people and pecked away at their heads.... |
