Description Cult of Anubis (W/Spitlogic)

Today I could do the finally mixing to a tune I've been working on since 17/5-08 the day Spitlogic posted Cult of Anubis (A Cappella) so I'm glad I could do this... I hope I can redo more tunes I'm working on as I've in a down period making music... Time will tell.

Lyrics I stand in a hall of mirrors
The right path in the wrong direction
No protection from the self that I try to hide
Or these corny cliques that I try to ride
Is it pride that compels me to refrain from asking
to be rescued from myself in the heat of passion
The subtraction of mind from the man is no man at all
Yeah I planned to ball
Champagne kisses looking good and standing tall
While some are jealous and demand I fall
Green zealots making moves to one day be in command of all
Im a door in a land of walls
Othello in a land of Pauls
Some would argue I'm no man at all
I cant rely on my fans at all
And refuse to play this game like a baby on my hands to crawl
If it were up to the industry they'd ban us all
No reliance on the self they'd destroy all faith
And dangle falsehood in front of our face and hope we take the bait
false prophets in a land of credit cards and real estate
I search for the realest state within
Drinking from an angel's tear
None of us are strangers here
Most of us have anger where they've tried to instill fear
I cant afford to deviate
It is up to me to mediate
What's here and what's beyond the plate
This might not be food for thought
Depending on your school of thought
Or if you fought the lies they taught
Caught in the crossroads
We're all old
the soul lived before there was an earth to spin
Our death is just a birth again
I have a message for the planet, so I hope its worth the pen
And paper that I used to write it
If Im on a tangent it because sometimes I get excited
Life is a party, to tell the truth you're all invited

Outnumbered and surrounded I am still willing to challenge it
I have a lineage that I have got to try an keep in tact
My legacay in melody, turntalbes, and speaking rap
every cell and particle
Defines the ontological
Defies negative molecules
I wish the way I felt could truely become apart of you
The best that I can do is make this music from the heart for you

	Ah ha!! Im sitting here wondering why I haven't gotten an email for any of your songs until I realize that I'm expecting emails from kenta and not skean. I'm not too bright, but I'm glad you hit me up with the note on the song. Wow. A lot going on. That percussion is nice. and I love that reverbish effect on the voice. Thanks a lot friend.
