P.S. The song art is wonderful. I love seeing your little face in the corner of my iPod. I think I'll still be giggling years from now. |

Rich I loved the original so much, and you've done an amazing job in giving it a different feel (more organic perhaps?) - certainly standing front and centre on the stage with The Orbiting's original (well, slightly back a tiny bit). A brave person who messes with such a lovely original - well done! Neil |

Very cool track It has been cleverly layered and it sounds very good. The effects on the vocals are very nice, and gives it an etheral edge. The music you have created for the is really nice and mixes well with the track. You have certainly laid down a high benchmark. |

Great Remix I love your trademark Rhodes in there and the forward push in the percussion. The variety of dynamics and the pristine production. Nice. --Graham |

Oh yeah! In reading Ledeb's comment for my remix of this song, she mentions your version, and so I checked it out and remembered "Ah yes! That one!" I'm glad I didn't hear this before I did my mix. I may not have done it at all: this one is awesome. I too didn't listen to the original before I remixed (at least not the whole thing) But yeah, the production and arranging here smokes! Good work! |

niiiiice Very smooth all around great work. |

I think it's so cool how you did this, first that you didn't listen to the original before you got started and that you worked with a big pile of aiffs and sorted through to find things that interested you, then added all of your own fabulous keyboard work and production. I might be wrong, but it feels like you added percussion, too, but it might be that you brought the percussion from the end of the original song and used it earlier. I wasn't really sure how I'd go about doing a remix if I wanted to, because I know the song too well, but a big pile of aiffs outside a GB file would go a long way towards fixing that issue.
The suit suits you, but thank goodness you didn't lose that horn. This version really swings and I love you for that, because you've helped me imagine that maybe I could sing something funky one day and pull it off. You've made me retroactively funky, which is no mean feat. I LOVE the production on the vocals, the trailing lines, the use of the spoken bridge in the background at times. The production overall is just masterly, actually. You're working a lot of layers, here (tremelo rules, you know it). The dynamics are really creative, but the song always flows beautifully.
Then of course, comes the patented super-wonderful RGPaddler keyboard magic. The Rhodes sound is very, very cool on this and swirls together nicely with everything else. It's interesting because that sound is cropping up on more contemporary music, but it's also such a retro sound, and I saw this song as being a contemporary protest song ala the 60's, so that Rhodes plays into my original vision of retro/contemporary really terrifically.
I couldn't be more thrilled with what you've done here, Richard, you even brought out my noisy electric riff that was just a minor background player in the last one, which is fun for me!
Hooray, you're a genius and I've listened to this more than ten times already! Thank you.
