Description I received some really good ideas on how to improve this song when I posted it, and had some additional ideas myself, so I decided to post an updated version.
Lyrics Oh how I hate to see that sun go down
Oh how I hate to see that sun go down
Cause my babys done left me
and I feel like I'm gonna drown

Well first she said she love me
and held me real tight
Rocked my world over and over
Way into the night

Then she said goodbye
and left me on my knees
I don't know why
she was so hard to please

Oh how I love my baby
but I know it will never be
Lord, please take
these Blues from me

Oh how I hate to see that sun go down
Oh how I hate to see that sun go down
Cause my babys done left me
and I feel like I'm gonna drown

Thanks Feter!
Glad you like the song....I know that this vocal is more "out front". Its been a concern of mine that contemporary vocals have been buried so far in the mix you can never tell what the lyrics are on many songs. In allot of commercial music I think this was originally done to cover weak vocal performances (not that mine is all so wonderful) but at least you can hear the lyrics. Whenever I help others in mixing suggestion I'm always try to get the vocal performance to stand out and shine. There are some current artists who do this, Chris Isaak, being one and when I was working with Grace Slick she was another who strived for out front vocals. So this is my blow against the empire for better or worse. At some point I may come to my senses and be more conventional....Peace to you my friend, Norman

I really liked the first one, and I like the second one even better. Isn't it amazing how you can post a song, people offer ideas, you re-work and voila, a better sound? I'm always amazed at the value of feedback here. Congrats on this great project!

Thank you Karen!
Glad you liked the new version. And yes the influence of the Internet on the artistic expression and expansion of capability, is now being wired into our genes and I think the integration of simulsense inputs into the human bio- computer (Brain) is creating new synaptic circuitry that has not existed before in out species. In essence the Wired generation is being reWired....I should put a TM after that one, like Mike Meyers 8-) Peace to you Karen, you are such a gifted artist yourself I feel honored you like my song.....

really good blues. i'm a big fan of slide guitar and you really did a great job with it. I really think you should drop the vocals back though because I can barely hear the band when you're singing, and I really want to hear the band! I understand you want to have the vocals prominent, but maybe they're a little too prominent? :) In any case, awesome blues. I really like that slide!
