Keywords ballet (10)energy (36)intelligence (2)gift of gab (1)
Description I have a renter that looks a bit like the picture, Good looking, a bit of spanish. But man, what spunk! She can talk and talk about ballet to beat the band. She is has great gift of gab and really is quite intelligent. She'll even be descriptive in talking, pointing her feet to show how ballet is done. The energy is amazing. Like ten Eveready batteries all in one!

She was a paid ballet dancer for the Houston Ballet, very young and looks much younger than what she is. She has such incredible dreams, such enthusiasm for life!

Again, what spunk to say the least, simply amazing!

Talk about SPUNK Bill! Your skill on that guitar just blows my wee little mind. I always smile when I see a new post from you, because I know I'm going to LOVE it. This is so excellent, well conceived, perfectly excecuted - you make it sound like you're hardly working at all - the sign of a true master! Thanks

Simply
Excellent in every way

Vic Holman said 181 days ago
hey I was going to say....
..talk about spunk, but Karen beat me to it.

fantastic composition and playing as always. you can always pull your songs off so effortlessly. but I'm sure a lot of practice goes into it.

kristyjo said 181 days ago
I love your original compositions
especially when you share the stories of how they came to be. And then, of course, I'm jealous as all get-out when I hear your energetic, yet precise guitar playing :)
This is full of life-affirming energy and joy. Great post!

Me thinks Jillian is a lucky renter
because she already knows how to dance, and she has a mentor to help her with the music end of it.

I think this is excellent Bill. As alway your playing is right on the mark, and your sense of musical rhythm and rhyme can't be beat.

Very nice bit of work her Bill, thanks for sharing it with us.

This
describes what you say about her wonderfully Bill, sort of an extended musical vignette..... colourful and dashing.... full of life. Wonderful music that just flows along, regards M

Lovely stuff Bill
I Can't comment on the quality of your playing , apart from saying it's very, very good. You have so much skill on the guitar. You must fill the house (and hoipefully the street) with music day and night - when you're not working of course.

This one is a bit like the last from a production perspective too - I had to check my iMac balance tbefore I commented - very leftt channel oriented. It might be worth having a look at the output track before you post to make sure the balance is level. This is no criticism, just a suggestion - it's a result of the stereo recording you do I'm sure, and is easy to sort. The left channel came good on the final chord.

Another excellent piece Bill - I'm amazed at your productivity!

Cheers from Oz,
Neil

Funny...
I was thinking about this very same thing... I have known people over the years that simply could not get enough of everything in life while sometimes I find myself overly satisfied with what/where I am. I have often wondered what makes up for the difference in zest...

The guitar is exquisite in this as usual from you.

Another memory snippet... Several guys I grew up with started their own tiling companies. I had one of them tile both a floor and bathroom in the house I owned in CA. The main guy was kinda beat up from all those years of tiling and his fingers were kinda big and beat up and sorta lathery stiff like.

Yet you have these amazing guitar fingers... Wow.

thetiler said 180 days ago
Good
point, but you should see my left palm just did this with metal lath:
http://www.laytile.com/lath.jpg

Metal lath is used for patching holes in tile. It is easy to accidentally scrape your hands if your not careful. Glad it was not too close to the fingers :^)

Thanks for posting

Great Bill
you paint pictures with your wood and steel... i love when the caffeen kicks in here... I can see her talking faster than you can listen...

I work with my son" an exellent bass player... and I tell him daily to watch out for his fingers... on billboards we work with angle iron and these big industrial ratchet straps... always aware of the digits!

thetiler said 179 days ago
You must do a bunch of different things for sure scott
Sounds like you have a lot of irons in the fire for sure.
Thanks for posting.

guitapick said 179 days ago
What a great tribute...
...to a bundle of life...she must be really special. Bet she loves this, too...

Beautiful
tone and great playing as always. You play with a lot of soul.Excellent!

BossHook said 179 days ago
I always
think it is great when a musician can obtain that inspirational flourish and translate it so well like you do here.

The fire in your fingers
This woman must be quite something if she gets your playing this fired up. Very lively, and excellent composition.

thetiler said 179 days ago
I am amazed at how she is so intelligent
in knowledge about Ballet. She wants to be a teacher at it. I just have never met anyone so non stop in talking about all the aspects of Ballet. How you have to have your toes just right at interviews for auditions. How you have to look a certain way and anything away from the norm is not accepted.

How so many pros that tour can lead a pretty lonely life. Really filled me on on things that I've really not known. Being part of the Houston Ballet, she really had an inside scoop.

gail60 said 179 days ago
Wow Bill
You always, always knock me out with your wonderful music. Great description for this song. I even imagined you as a ballerina :) This is beautiful truly and I know I am always in for a treat when I see you name in my mailbox. Such Awesome playing Bill. You really are just great!! Thanks so much!

thetiler said 178 days ago
That is about the funniest thing I've heard
since I've been here: Me as a ballerina, that is like King Kong being tap dancer:)

But thanks gail, I just am not the Rudolf Nureyev type.

Thanks though for being so gracious though!

But in my heart I love the graceful arts whether it be through music or dance with music, especially classically influenced.

Elevator_Funk said 178 days ago
Nothing like
a babe to get the creative juices flowing. Now go see if she can choreograph a dance to it and post the results for us on YouTube :D

thetiler said 178 days ago
With here spunk
I really think she could indeed do it.

Thanks for the post.

thetiler said 178 days ago
I hope somebody tries to download this
tune and if they love to walk to exercise this might be the tune for you.

I tried it today and I thought it was perfect to walk to at a faster pace.

Somebody should try it and see what they think. Sometimes it isn't always easy to keep up to but it is challenging and a great health booster with out getting to much percussion in the ears.

Wonderfull playing and composition .

davisamerica said 177 days ago
right then
the enthusiasm has spread to your fingers! another wonderful piece of wonder by you bill ... thanks for the smile!

J.A.Stewart said 177 days ago
Enthusiasm...
is the fuel that feeds the engine of our lives and this wonderfully-played piece reflects it very well, Bill.

Jillian's joie de vivre finds a happy home in this tune, I'm sure.

I, like Elevator_Funk, immediately thought you should ask her to do an impromptu interpretation in dance and videotape it. ;)

Sounds like a grand idea
I am waiting on my Ultura video camer parts. I lost the original firewire cord and power supply. I should be receiving it any day now.

Thanks for the input!

chipan said 177 days ago
Love it!
This is probably my favorite of your solo guitar pieces so far! Excellent playing as usual, of course, but the chord progressions and energy are irresistible. Unlike Gail I cannot imagine you doing ballet. :)

Well done, Bill...
I've known people with just that quality, and my usual response is to be heartily glad they're in this world, and that I get to know them...

You've done well to frame a tune that captures intelligence, grace, form and terrific energy, the capacity for wonderful motion...
