Wow... This is a gorgeous little vignette! It feels very Beatles-esque, very satisfying melody, the singing and harmonies are beautiful (but well duh, it is Jack & Roxylee & Terry there), and the instrumentation is absolutely perfectly arranged, way to go Paul! I remember Magnatone shaking her head early on with this and bemoaning the lack of any metronome/grid to go by :-) Paul, you did a masterful job crafting the instrumentation on this, fits very well. The overall mix sounds quite good too, good balance between voice and instruments, panned position voices was OK (perhaps a bit wide for headphones, but crisp.) And the lyrics are sweet and heartfelt. Well, that's about it, I thought that you should know. ttfn, Drakonis |

i'm with Macaudion on this one: SAPPY. but great. i think i need to explore this mental picture i have of Burl Ives doing this one in some sort of animated 70's film. I'm picturing a bunch of fuzzly little forest animals singing the harmonies. great tune. |
