Keywords Doris and The Dypso Doggers (1)
Description Michael (whom I think is brilliant) posted a choon and he called it I'm Uneasy. In the wee graphic he used to illustrate this was a blackboard with the legend - 'It never stops raining'. These words reminded myself that I was currently running a melody concerning my native city through mah brain so it was no coincidence that blah,blah,blah... I thought about developing it more but decided to leave it after it became apparent that I could easily spend 8500 hours on it. Aw the best to yeez aw and thanks to Mick for coming up with such a wonderful piece that's wide open to approximately 23 million versions.

Fantasmic
I went to Glasgow once when it was the European City of Culture

Another great tune and an interesting/original reading of M2's tune - is this the new Ember?

I wonder how many more versions there will be - I think I have already heard 24 million

;-)

Behold my shining staff.
I predict there'll be 56 trillion versions of Mick's choon by 2063. Biba - as a valued member of The Stennhousemuir Canal Choristers I invite you to add (unless you already have) your version to what is surely destined to become a genre in itself.

Feter...
get on the case pronto and set down your interpretation of what must surely become 'the undisputed heavyweight champion choon of the millenium'.
I kid thee not.

Ahhh Glasgow ..
.. the health food capital of the UK ;)

How come so many good tracks have been spawned by Michael's original? This is v cool. I like that you seem to have removed the hissy synth at the start.

Will this be the new Rangers chant? Are The Blue Nile going to do a version?

Best from Oz!
Neil

Jiggers.
Jiggsy baby my theory on the apparent inspirational quality of Mikey's tune is that although it's got a nice wee bubbling along feel it's also got an edge to it ... an oblivious inner rage has percolated the process with a message that when we are able to understand it we'll experience eternal joy ,enriched and calm and totally free. Either that or it's the nifty wee descending bassline.
I use to live in the same neighbourhood as the bass player in Blur Nile and I snogged his sister whose name was Eileen and very cute. How's that for a tenuous connection ? Aw the best Neil.

Eileen
Blue Nile are one of my favourite bands - now I "virtually" know someone who virtually "knew" one of their sisters - life is too cool ;)

Yummy
Mars bars in batter. This is original. You two an outstanding job here. Really enjoyed it.

A Mars a day helps you...
rest and play - I kinda like those two wonderful words 'rest' and 'play'.
Danke schoen Lava baby. Ever tried them deep fried - it's an acquired taste that soon becomes a raging addiction - mmmmm yummy. I listened to the choon again and instantly wanted to redo sections... it's got that Mars Bar in batter effect for sure.

Glasgow
wow bonnie - it's great what you did with this! I love your music generally, and this is no exception - great work!

bonnieprincejohnny said 184 days ago
Maggsy girl.
I'm already redeveloping sections of Glasgow... the tune naturally not the actual city - although if I could I'd redevelop parts and move them to a sunnier climate
West coast still probably California or Portugal but even so the folk there would miss the light, there's some brilliant sunsets in auld Glega I'll tell ye missus.
Nice to 'hear' from you Maggers keep tinklin them ivories baby.

michael2 said 184 days ago
this is
totally twisted. love what you've done. totally wild arrangement, and what a chorus. you just never have a miss, do you?

bonnieprincejohnny said 184 days ago
Missing.
It's easy not to 'miss' when you've got an inspirational soundbed.
All credit to you Micky Boy - when it reaches number 6 in Khazakstan I'll buy you a hot-dog. Aw the extra strength high volume best to you Michael.

Subtle stuff...
...sooooo coooool...

Along the lines of: "yeah...lemme have another pint...now...what was I sayin'...? Oh yeah...I...uhhh...wot was that...my cell phone...? Hello...who? NOW!?...oh...ok...gotta go, guys...nice tune...what?...I'm in a telephone booth...?"

I love the different slants to this...nice collaboration.
