Description A little song about my second home... You all know what I mean.

This is another re-master.

Thanks for dropping by my place...
Lyrics Woke up this morning a tune ran through my head
I’m not too sure I knew where it came from
Grabbed a note pad managed to penciled in some words
Could this be that hit or maybe one more chance…

So I ask in addition if you would
Yield some time to hear this verse
Take a chance and send a comment my way…

Half way next to nowhere
That’s were I am
Half way next to nowhere
That’s where I began….

All those famous people driving around in fancy cars
Art to get their talent to super duper stars
Guess I’ll motor on and write another song
Post it here for you to sing along…

So I ask in addition if you would
Yield some time to read these words
Help me make some changes the right way…

Half way next to nowhere
That’s were I am
Half way next to nowhere
That’s where I began….

Funny isn’t it I would spend up all my day
Exchange ideas from mind to time
There it goes again here comes another line
Think I’ll try it on you surely you won’t mind…

So I ask in addition if you would
Put me in my place if deemed you should
You managed to pass here by my place…

Half way next to nowhere
That’s were I am
Half way next to nowhere
That’s where I began….

Funny, that's where I AM TOO!
Fancy meeting you here? Great tune, well written and performed and sung (love the harmonies!) Wish I had your talent for playing an instrument and singing, sigh. Enjoy the gifts you have, and this little spot you call "halfway next to nowhere"... I think it is a pretty nice place to be. :-) Glad to see you here again.

It's Got That...
nice Texas feel to it, John.

This song has a sweet sound, with some solid guitar work. But since you asked... what I think may detract a little from the overall sound is the somewhat choppy, almost staccato phrasing of the lyrics in your verses.

Sometimes the words can fit the beat too well and leave that impression. I think if you spend a little more time with the vocals, you can give this song the relaxed, flowing feel the music seems to call for.

But it's a cool song and in general, I liked it a lot. ;)

Nice one John
I liked the original of this, but the production here (and your vocal) is so much better. Your voice has taken on a real original character combined with your phrasing and lyrics, resulting in a really cool sound.
well done - very cool track!

What nice treat
Love the words to this! As I recall, I really enjoyed the first version of this, but I'm really diggn' this composition. It's certainly a lot more restrained in it's presentation, but that brought forth the message and gave this a feeling of having more sustenance.

Very well done, John.

Wow!
John, this sound is HUGE!

This mix and master sounds so pro my friend.

I'm getting a huge "SuperTramp" feel from your vox.

They are one of my favorite bands.

I'm so happy I stumbled on this.

Love the solo tone.

Great job!! Awed.

Cool song.
I like the feel of the chorus. It comes in with some Paul Simon-like phrasing and that is backed up with some Paul Simon (mid-late 70's era) background vocals. Well done!
