Description A total rip off of a few blues and mebbe a country song,I couldn't resist using Feters' cracking blues guitar again....this is hopefully a bit of fun,but on reflection only if you know certain Blues songs...we'll see eh?
Lyrics
Trouble With The Blues

I went to the crossroads
Turned left onto route 66
I went to the crossroads
Turned left onto route 66
Passed a house that was a rockin'
So I didn't go a knockin,
That's why I didn't get my kicks

Now I went Farther on down the road
Saw a man dusting his broom
I went further on down the road
Saw a man dusting his broom
And even tho I did not know him
He rented me his own room

spoken(complete with girlfriend do you know?)

I saw a man in black in a chevrolet
He told Me it was his pride and joy
I saw a man in black in a chevrolet
told me it was his pride and joy
two head lights on the left
one Headlight on the right

Personally I think it was a bag of shite

Excellent
Love the lyrics (My favorite part is the room "complete with girlfriend", and who couldn't love a blues song with "shite" in it!) and the piano works well. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Jarvoid said 233 days ago
Thanks dajama
This was meant to be a bit of a chuckle, glad it worked.I was considering singing it with a Geordie accent but thought it may be indecipherable!!

davisamerica said 233 days ago

Jarvoid said 233 days ago

Nice Blues
It's party time brother's swing it... Cheers
Way too cool done...hehehe... Dig it.

Jarvoid said 227 days ago
Well really
thanks a lot,I pinched and mashed up much of the lyrics from other songs ,or at least borrowed heavily on their ideas...which is part of the "blues challenge" joke ...see
how many songs you can spot....Feters basic rhythmn was just too cool not to jam over.

This is crazy good
What a great blues voice you have, Chris! Great job on the piano too! And whoever is playing the guitar - it all comes together quite perfectly
I liked the kinda ragedy edges that the little offbeat creates on this. Nice touch. The only thing missing is the crackling of old vinyl - Well... nothing is missing from this of course.

A fun listen, indeed!

Thanks guys! Macca

Jarvoid said 227 days ago
I like
the idea of crackling vinyl,I'm glad you enjoyed this.I had a bit of fun, even if it is a bit of a Frankensteins monster lyrically, but then as I said to Skean that is the fun of this song . Ta

Trouble wi- Blues
This is a terrific blues song! You did a great job w/Feter's guitar, love the lyrics, vocals. Thanks!

Jarvoid said 227 days ago
Thanks Magna
Can't take all the credit obviously for the lyrics cos there
is some creative cutting and pasting of ideas there but it was a bit of fun to do,'spesh' with such a good springboard to work from.

Jarvoid said 227 days ago
'S a collab
with Feter playing the rock solid rhytmn and I wailed over it with a cheeky few ideas ..........glad you liked it....

FUN LYRIC
But I guess you know why one usually builds from the drums up when you're multi-tracking. Good guitar tone and some nice licks.

Cheers, Shaky

Hi
sorry this is a bit late and thanks for the slightly cryptic comment. Not quitesure where its going but if I were to havea stab I,d say that this doesn't totally hang together all that well...and the drums are added after and a lottle(sic) erratic? Would that be close? :-)
