Keywords Bike Race (1)Kids Race (1)Like World Series of Little League Baseball ! (1)
Description Based on the original Bike Race, this has sound effects added.

A kids race in the United States that is getting famous like the World Series of Little League Baseball ! But for one special kid, it was an unbelievable a struggle to get there.

Sometimes it is tough to keep things in order and section off streets and keep from getting in the way. But the parents try very hard, cause they know that this race is taking off like wildfire and is getting noticed through out the country.
Lyrics 'Bike Race" words!

This is the race all miy friends are here, Jimmy, John and Billy Joe.
The School's put it on my friends think their the best well, i will know!
There's that fastest kid in town he won trophies all around some as tall as wide as a chair.
He just shot ahead jumped the gun, that's unfair!

We'll I can't cry about it now, the race is on and I just got out in front!
It would take for me to win this race a real stunt!

Chorus:
Well I can't slow down, if I do I know I will loose ground!
Well I can't slow down, if I do I know I will loose ground.
No matter how hard I try, someone's right close bye!
I know I can't slow down.

I'm losen my breath quick fell like I'm getting sick.
Feels like this is going to be one tough race!
Going real fast all my friends I'm shootin past.
Like a rocket in outer space!

The dog thats crossed the road, truck with a heavy load.
O no what I'm I going to do?
Between them both is narrow.
Gotta be like an arrow and shot on through!

Chorus:
Well I can't slow down, if I do I know I will loose ground!
Well I can't slow down, if I do I know I will loose ground.
No matter how hard I try, someone's right close bye!
I know I can't slow down.

Guitar solo

Feel like I'm swervin my poor bike is curvin.
To the side, side, side of the street.
Gotta pedal fast, my breath won't last.
The pedal just left my feet!

Finish lines ahead, I feel like I'm dead.
The line just hitt my chest.
The crowd is jumpin my heart is thumpin.
Well, just beat the rest!

Now, I am a winner, not more will they call me a beginner.

My friends will treat me with respect.

My friends will treat me with respect.

My friends will treat me with respect.

My friends will treat me wih respect ! ! !

YAY...
.. what a great song is this? One of the very best songs I've heard for a long time here. Great acoustic/classic guitar work and fine vocals and background sounds... Really great. Thanks for sharing!

Take Care

Thanks one of the most flattering
things I've read about my tunes here at MJ. Thanks BW very much!

Especially from a guy that lives so far away and gives so much to MJ.
Thanks

Fantastic
What a great tune.... Good tempo, and good guitar play.... Really happy song.... Great....

thetiler said 187 days ago
of course
I always enjoy going to hear your delightful tunes as well.

Thanks for posting!

woofer3 said 187 days ago
superb piece of music
absolutely love this, it has lots of atmosphere and the vocals are just perfect. I would love to hear you do some of Blind Blake's stuff also Mississippi John Hurt as well. I think your voice would especially fit Blake's style, one track that springs to mind is -Hastings Street with it's sort of clawhammer type guitar and his, oh so in vogue singing. It was made in the thirties, If you want a copy let me know and I'll send it on to you. If anyone could nail this it'll be you, but it'll be good to listen to anyway.

Thank you Bill,

John.

Cool tune!
Like the guitar tone you get here - which one did you use? Bike sounds are cool too!

thetiler said 186 days ago
Actually this one
is per Santa Cruz om/pw, it is my Takamine steel string acoustic dreadnaught, I recorded originally in a recording studio in San Francisco. Ca. Duncan St Studios. I am not sure what mics were used at the time.

Thanks for posting!

Sounds like you've been there Bill
So was I. As a kid I used to race with the CRC of A in New Jersey with my best friend at the time, an fellow named Jack Simes. This song brings me back to when I competed in a national race at a little town in NJ called Somerville with the club in 1956. Thanks for the memories Bill.

Love the song and of course your playing is at it's usual stellar levels. It's good to hear you singing to my friend. Keep up the great work and you might want to try singing more often, you do a great job.

Be well Bill and thanks again for the song.

Wow, Bill
So good to hear you singing, and in this story/song. Most excellent vibes- I can almost feel the wind whizzing through the baseball cards in the spokes! Real nice..:-)

thetiler said 186 days ago
That's true
this tune is geared more for a younger bike racer, for the pic I tried to find younger bike racers but I couldn't find any:)

Bill - you're so multi-talented it's amazing. Love your lyrics and vocals, the idea, the guitar playing, the production. Basically - is there anything you can't do?

Dire Straights feel
Nice one Bill. Some of the fx a little loud, but only a minor nit. Your voice fits just right, and your playing works (as ever!). Your bass and drum tracks sound authentic. Enjoyed this.

Thanks,
Neil

You nail it it here... I love your singing. You have got to do more singing... and less tiling!! I always liked this song. Even more now. Guitar playing, just what I have come to expect... gorgeous sound. Sound effects are icing on what is your Song.

Love it, my friend.

thetiler said 183 days ago
Thanks so much Jack
I love to sing, but the chords and fingerpicking have to be in a certain key. I have to believe in the sing-ability of the tune. Or else I lose the feel for it.

Thanks so much !
