Experiment in C-Maj what impressing about this. its very prolific I knowits because the top realsitic sound ... but yoru writing and arranging is so nice and SO write ..I would never able to write such thing even afetr 20 years studying composition ..sigh ..but you are so talented my friend this is realy much better and tighter than the first one ... please keep them comin ...thnx alot for sharin !!!

Thank you Feter Again You are such a good friend, you're always there with encouraging words and comments, and not just for me, for everyone. You are a very special person Feter and I'm honored to be able to include you as a friend. I don't know if it's right yet, but it is better, at least to my ears. And since that's the only way I have of judging it I have to rely on others with much more musical expertise than I have for comments and critiquing of my work. Thank you Chip I've never done anything like this piece (classical Music) before the other day when I posted the first version so I'm figuring it out as I go. I'll post what I have and listen to the feedback and then go figure out how to implement the changes suggested by my fellow musicians. Feter said the same thing about the ending in a private note he sent me, so when I can, I'll go back into it and learn how do make a softer ending for it. I already have some things in mind, now I just have to get busy trying to build them. Thanks again for the kind words and suggestions my friend, they are very much appreciated. Be well and stay cool. I went and listened to Giants and was amazed at you're virtuosity in all the areas that count when it comes to music. That said, any kind words you have for anything I do is taken as a compliment of the highest order my friend. I was trying my hand at something I'd never done before on this piece because I just bought the Symphony Orchestra JamPack this week and wanted to play in someone else's sandbox for a while. IIf you'd like to try it by all means go for it Allen. Sounds like a good idea, but I'm not the one to do it. I can think of a few here that might be able to do something like that, but my hands don't work anymore for that kind of playing. They're to old and tired to be able to go where this would need to go. So if you want to try it, download it and send me your tracks and I'll mix them, in place of what ever part needs to be moved to make room for them to fit. Thanks for the idea and for volunteering. Thanks David That's some very nice praise there my friend and I thank you for it. All the more since this is my first ever attempt at classical music and it's good to hear kind words about your work, especially when you're new to it. I've heard that about the ending a number of times so far. I guess they'll be another pass to work over this one again. But this is how we learn David, by listening to our peers and learning from their expertise. I thank you again for adding to that expertise here and for the kind words you bestowed on this piece. 	Thanks Chance Actually this is a newer version of the experiment. Basically the same except for a little tweaking and a few additions that weren't in the first version. Thanks Mike Well now mike, in the interest of full disclosure, I didn't actually play any of this myself. I recently bought Apple's Symphony Orchestra JamPack and was "Experimenting" around with it just to try it out and see what I could do with it. What you hear are the results of that Experiment, which is why I named it as I did. I hope you not disappointed or disillusioned by the above statement. I will say this in my defense, I have never done anything in classical music before, which might explain the abrupt ending, but never the less I do think it came out fairly well. It also tells me I'm going to have to continue working on it until I have a finished piece of music. I am looking forward to that venture with some zeal, as I really did enjoy making this one. Thanks Joseph It's not only different for you, it's different for me too. First time I've ever tried to do any classical music, and it was oh so much fun to do. I'm going to try to expand on this piece and turn it into something longer and hopefully even better than it is now. But for now, I'm not gonna get in a rush. Well Thank you Mark You have to consider that there just might be a certain amount of luck involved here too, since I can't hardly hear anymore. At least not very well anyway, so I never know for sure if the mix is going to be pleasing to others. If it wasn't for my hearing aid I wouldn't have a chance of making a decent mix at all. Hi Gail, nice to see you here It's a Miracle. Oh wait, thats a different script isn't it. Right church, wrong pew. LOL. Gail you are way too kind to this old man, and ya better quit it or I'm gonna start blushing for sure. Since you never got to hear the first version of this or read the information on the piece, you couldn't know that all I did on this one was choose and arrange the loops from the new Symphony Orchestra JamPack I bought last week. That's the reason I named it "Experiment in C Maj."( it is in fact actually C-min), because I was just trying out the new sounds in the Symphony Orchestra JamPack and wanted to see what I could do with them. This is the result of my fiddling (no pun intended) around in Garage Band, and I didn't actually play anything on this piece except the mouse and computer keyboard. Please forgive me for not identifying that fact in the intro on this version, a matter I will attend to as soon as I finish here. The original stated that rather clearly and because of that I didn't bother to on this one. All that said, I have always loved classical music, but could (or would) never find the time to study it. So this is my first attempt or rather version 2 of my first attempt at dong anything even remotely like this kind of music. I am very pleased that you like what I've done so far, but I feel there's going to be more that needs to be added to this to make a complete piece out of what looks like a promising beginning. Sorry about that Bob In the original I stated that this was all loops, which it it. I have since fixed the intro to reflect that fact. I only wish I could play piano like that, and in my wildest dreams I can. But I do love classical music and have listen to it many time over the years. When I bought the new Symphony Orchestra JamPack, I thought I'd try my hand at it just to see what I could do. This is the results of my experimenting with that JamPack in Garage Band. Ok moment of truth over. I am glad you got to hear it, and that you liked the way it came out Bob. Don't hold back on doing what you talked about my friend, it's a lot of fun navigating through the loops to try and find just the right part to put into the mix. Thanks for the listen Bill This was tremendous fun for me because I've always had a love for classical music, among the many other styles of music I favor. Buying that JamPack gave me an opportunity to do something I never thought I'd get the chance to do and that is to arrange and play something classical. Obviously we have the take the word "playing" with a grain of salt, as I didn't actually play anything except the computer keyboard and mouse, but that isn't what's important here. What is important to me is that I got to create something I would never have done in any other way. And it's something I am proud of because I feel it's pretty good for a first time effort. This place, MacJams, fosters that kind of experimenting into things you would not ordinarily do, which makes this a special place indeed. Thanks again for you kind words Bill, they are aprreciated. Thanks Joe Glad you enjoyed this piece Joe. I didn't find it to be too hard. The hardest part was figuring out what to start with, and then to go find the loops that fit in with that musical feeling you're getting from the loop you used as a starting point. It's really a matter of listening to the different loops and when you find one you think will work, trying it out with what you have already built. It takes some time, and you'll change your mind on some of them and change things around as you go, or as you find a loop that seems to fit better, but I wouldn't say it was hard. One thing that you may have to do sometimes if you are using software instruments is to go in and maybe edit some of the notes in a particular loop you like part of, but needs a little adjusting on some of the notes to get them right for the rest of the piece. What would be hard for me would be trying to play all the instruments myself and having it sound like music. This stuff is way above my head when it comes to that. The loops make it possible to experiment around with Orchestral sounds to see what works and what doesn't. And it's a lot of fun to do once you get over the fear of doing something wrong. There is no wrong in music, there's just your way and my way, that's all. So if you get the urge, go for it just because it's so much fun to play with sounds.
