id like to hear the guitar a little more maybe. the lead guitar is nice and clear its just the accoustic that's hard to hear. other than that sounds fine.

Thanks!
I'll definitely look to balance the guitars better next time. I had some timing issues with this one that required a more simple mix....I appreciate your feedback. This is my first solo vocal so I'm still learning the ropes..... Peace to you, Norman

Well Norman
we all know now, that you've got a great sounding voice and I told you before how I love that vibrato. This has been an endurance for you I know, but you managed to pull it all together despite the hiccups on timing of the backing. You got the voice and the mood and that's all you need, cheers M

Thanks Maurice!
And thank you for your help and encouragement through the birthing process of this song. As I've told you in private, the song probably would not have happened if it were not for you. Peace, Norman

Awesome, Norman. Unlike anything else I've heard from you. Full of soul. Great lyrics. I like your voice! Crisp, front and center. You have my attention! You could loosen up a bit on some of the consonants and vowels to make it sound more bluesy. Especially watch those arpeggio "h" sounds - only pronounce the first h. Imagine that you have a bit of oatmeal in your mouth when you sing. Or try singing out of one side of your mouth. That all of a sudden gives it that "tobacco chew" feeling.

Thank you Richard!
You have been a great inspiration to me in life and in music. I'm honored that you like the song and my voice. I've mentioned this before, but this was a song that had to get out. I kept hearing it in my consciousness over and over, and after two weeks of work it was starting to capture what I was hearing internally. Thanks for the feedback and I will endeavor to put your suggestions into action....Peace to you, buddy.....Norman

The imperative, the answer
Norman: I know what you mean by "hearing it over and over" and "just had to get it out." That is the basis of most art -- expression demanding to be birthed. Wassily Kandinsky (an abstract visual artist) said he heard the call of inanimate objects - things demanding to be drawn.

I think I like this even better the second time around! Your vocals are terrific here - like I said before, I hope you do much MORE solo singing in the future. I think I might agree with scream that the guitar could be a little more up front to balance the vocals, though that's such a subjective thing. Great work - thanks!

Thanks Karen
I appreciate your reposting again and thank you for your kind comments. I think I will attempt another song in the near future....I have a couple of ideas rolling around.....Looking forward to your next one too!.....Peace, Norman

Thank You Lengold!
I'm glad you enjoyed Blues in the Night....I soon found out that being slow like this is very hard to do and this was the most challenging piece I've done. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'll make a point to look for you're music in the future....Peace to you, Norman
