Haunting This is gorgeous Alannah. The lyrics are hearbreakingly beautiful. Very meaningful. I would love to try to put some music to this, but I honestly don't know if I'm capable of doing it justice. Your singing is perfect - I can totally see this accompanying a funeral procession through the streets to the river. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. |

Beautifully sung.... ....and beautiful words. Would like to carry these words around with me and pull them out whenever memories overwhelm me. In this respect, love never dies. Thanks for this. Terry |

Alannah, There is such deep passion in you for life, for love and for laughter. Through your loss which was very grave you learned to squeeze as much life and human connectedness as you can from every day. It is good to attend to the whispers that together build into a song. You sing and gift us with your wisdom. Thank you, sweetheart. |

Loved the tone, I had been working on this song sampling an Indian guy singing Punjabi folk music, and your voice, in my untrained ear, sounded similar in tone to his. So I kind of mushed 'em together on this track. http://www.macjams.com/song/46977 I really just took snippets of your singing, attempting to treat your voice like an instrument in a language I didn't understand like the Indian guy. I meant no disrespect to the poem, which has very beautiful sentiment. |

striking Thanks for the poetry. My sister also passed away from the disease. She was able to live another 12 months after diagnosis. We have a family joke about hummingbirds that was started after my dad had a stroke. He suddenly began to talk about hummingbirds, angels and how upset he was at Roosevelt. Who knew. Thanks for the song. It was comforting to me and it makes me think about her and how much she is missed. |

This is pure magic. Wonderful track full of emotion!
