Description Well, Feter invited me to a jam at the House of Blues, so I was lucky to have my recorder with me... and here is what came out that night...

"I brought along the lyrics to a song i'd made a while ago, and we started playing...

The crowd came all the way from The Freesound Project to hear us
Lyrics Day after day
Thor Oliversen©2008

When I woke up this morning
and I knew it was one of those days
I'd have to get kicked by a mule
to get my motivation started some way.
You know I see my self doing the same
day after day
day after day.

So fill my glass, 'cause I need some fuel
'Cause I can't find the right kind of tool.
Oh babe, babe, will you stay with me still?
'Cause you keep me from that little pill.

Oh, babe, why do you hang around with me
Does it still tend to give you a thrill
when you see me - coming your way
You know I see my self doing the same
day after day
day after day

So just kick me,
where the sun doesn't shine.
Hold me by my ears,
'till I stop with the whine
'Cause when I'm on my feet
I will stay for a while
But you know I see my self doing the same
day after day
day after day

just kick me
I'm bummed I don't have my gear up and runnin. This is schweeet. You integrated Feter's track seamlessly. The production sounds solid. Nice crisp sound on the bass & drums. I really enjoyed the beginning. You captured that small club feel nicely.

thoddi said 250 days ago
well
No doubt about it that it would have been very cool to have you doing some magic on a rhodes or a soul organ here... Thanks for dropping by and leaving such encouraging words:)

I love these lyrics and your vibes. And the audience participation is great, too. Cool instrumentation going on in here.

Roxylee
Thanks for mentioning the lyrics and vibe. I though they were a bit "bluesy" and suited for such a song.

mowguy3 said 249 days ago

Straightforward
traditional blues. Must be quite an enjoyable jam. The result is definitely solid.

thoddi said 245 days ago
Traditional indeed
and very enjoyable to do. Has been some time since I got to play this kind of blues.

Thanks for dropping by:)

Mmm!
I love the stage patter at the opening and the punctuation you do throughout the song, the MMM! and the "hear me out," and the huh it's so nice and loose and super-groovy. I knew if you did this challenge that you'd come up with something great, but I think you outdid yourself this time, Thor. Downloaded!

thoddi said 244 days ago
huh
How nice to see your friendly avatar at my place Lisa:)

The huh and other punctuation stuff is put there to get your attention of course. I noticed you commented on that in another tune, and put them in to see if they would get you to show here again... and look-a-here it worked;)

Thanks a lot for a nice comment. Made me smile:)

PS! Hope your studio is coming along good after the flooding you had there... that must have been a nightmare to experience...

Thor
What fine playing. I knew that you would do a great job but you blow me away with your creativity and performance. The lyric is very cool and really true to life. Your vocal delivery with its harmonies and personality are da bomb. The bass sounds great, nice n crisp n clean especially that punch at the end. The harp sounds perfect a nd gives that live feel. Sweet drum pic. And most of all the the Blue.
Your blues are soooo blue.
ktb can add something latter and that would never hurt.
I have often thought you and he should collab.
This is great...we have Feter to thank and you take a big bow blues man.
peace out
tim
