Description Rivelino was a very ramshackle band that had a very fluid line up of likely lads that skulked around Birmingham UK in the mid 1990s. Born out of the ashes of endless bob brown and the cybernauts with a bit of elizabeth jane's eardrum buzz thrown in for good measure, sometimes there were 11 people in the band and sometimes only 3. They all swapped instruments for every song - which made things even more ramshackle

But they were good

And they were loved

On day, in a rehearsal studio in Birmingham, the bass player Ian decided to sing, the guitar players David and Bryn helped him out with a rickety backing

This song was only ever played this one time, so it truly is a prototype...I am so glad I pressed record on the cassette recorder.

Look out for a more polished 'studio version' in the future from Sonic Magpie

In the meantime, here is Rivelino's demo for CBGB's

wail potential
Great demo - I can hear this as an intro and just the audience settles in, you crank it up and start wailing on it.

I always loved that dripping water reverb. How'd you do that?

This is perfect for the CBGB demo. That cassette effect is definitely cool.
Well done

A good song.
I would like to hear this as a finished product but it still holds up here. A good song is a good song, no matter what form it is in.

I've been digging this in my compilation
every time it comes around I realize what this project could produce and you really brought something special. Great song and my kind of production. Excellent.

Totally unexpected
and delightfully rickety.
Among the screaming lead singers and lead guitars, this stands out as a pleasant emo entry.
Nicely done.
