Description This is an oldie from around 1990. I wrote this after realizing I had watched too much tv and my brain was more mush than usual.

I've always liked the words to this song. Must have been on a Twinkie high.

	Great song Really like this song Tim, great lyrics, vocals and very tight playing. What really amazes me though is the production. I don't remember those tape machines sounding anywhere as good as this. Cheers Len

Len has beaten me
to the mark, - this reminds me of the Undertones - ....it's very seventies I think. Zappa did a song on this subject called - I am the Slime, about 1972ish.

Yeh , good track Tim and a nice clean and crisp sound, I have lots of old recordings I did on portastudio and none of them sound this good. Ten out of ten all 'round as far as I'm concerned. A Jiffytown Gem no less.

The Fostex was a beast of a machine that never did as well as it should have, but it did record ok, when I wasn't cursing at it and pounding on it. What I did was played the original four track tape through a newer Tascam Portastudio into the Tascam 788 Digital Portastudio. This allowed me to EQ it a bit and also add the harmonic guitar part. Anyway, it came out the way it sounds and I'm glad you guys like it.

I remember Zappa's "I am the Slime." The Undertones, not so much. This was written as an '80's style "New Wavish" song.

	That bass is very 80s! Drives along nicely and surprisingly good production from a 4 track Fostex. Mine never sounded that clean. Cheers Dick
